Went there and ordered a lobster roll and it came on a croissant instead of thee traditional roll. It was still tasty and it was at a great price. Kind of runned down place as Guy Fieri would call it a dive!! Food was good overall!

I remember going to Chowderhead's when I first came here and got a very good meal. The last time I went the kitchen area looked dirty and the food was very disappointing.

Love the New England food in the Key West style atmosphere. Lobster and shrimp roll delicious as well as cole slaw and sides. Very casual with a helpful staff. Definitely kid friendly yet great for couples.

We recently stopped by for a lobster roll but were not able to get one because the lobster hadn't thawed! We settled for heavily mayonnaised crab rolls on nice croissants and an average seafood chowder. The restaurant smelled greasy so maybe we should have tried fried items, which seem more popular with the local customers. The staff was pleasant. Just... More

Traveling through town so we could get husband's Rx filled at Walgreens on the way to second condo for the week. Needed to kill some time and hungry so we asked the pharmacist where to grab some lunch. She highly recommended Chowderhead's, which was in the same strip shopping center. We each got a cup of the seafood chowder and... More

Stopped to grab food for a picnic lunch at Crescent Beach and it was an improvement from my visit a few years ago. Fried clams are very good, as were my son's chicken tenders. The oil they used was clean and didn't taint the taste of the clams. Lobster rolls are available on a croissant or a hot dog bun.... More

Like going for fast food but the big difference is great sea food. Fried haddock and fries were surprisingly not greasy at all. Crispy crust on the haddock and very tasty. My wife had the haddock sandwich and found it the same as my fried haddock. Not greasy at all. One other had the normal he has every week he... More

Went here for a very casual dinner with my mother and husband. My husband and I both had "Fish & Chips" -- Haddock & Fries. Haddock was amazing! Fries were fantastic! Cole Slaw was great! My mother had full clam bellies with fries and she loved them. The restaurant was very slow but there were some people in there when... More

Best clam and seafood chowder. Great price. A quart of seafood chowder to go was about $15.00. If you want to taste Maine seafood, Chowderhead is a good place to go. You may order to go or sit in to eat. It is not a fancy restaurant but very good seafood.
