Although Muscongus Bay Lobster closes for the summer on Columbus Day, there is still time for you to take part in a truly unique eatery in midcoast Maine! Ambiance: What makes this place special is its location (looking over Muscongus Bay), its food (Fresh lobster delivered daily from the adjacent docks), its family-friendly atmosphere where locals and tourists alike sit... Sit outside and wait while your fresh lobster is being prepared. Enjoy the sun and salt air (or sit under cover if necessary.) The harbor view is so picturesque that we observed two painters trying to capture its charm. We particularly enjoyed being able to bring our own wine. The menu is basic and delicious.

The young man taking our order did not really know particulars about the sandwich I ordered. I wanted to know if they used red or yellow onions, he said pink. Mmmm I had the crab... More

If you are in the mood for a bare bones clambake but don't feel like going through the effort of doing the cooking....... Then this is your place. The menu is simple: steamed lobsters, clams, mussels and corn. Just select your combination from the board and place your order. Go camp out at one of the picnic tables and enjoy... More

I have been coming here since the '70's and have never been disappointed. As the years have passed and more and more people have found this place, the resulting changes have not detracted from the experience or food. The deck (either covered or not) has fantastic views of the harbor and the surrounding islands. Enjoying a lobster feed on a... More

We always like to stop and have a lobster and clams while in this area. Nice deck to sit on while looking at the bay while having lunch or dinner. Meals were fine and service excellent.

Bring your own wine or beer, and an appetizer if you wish. Classic Maine setting on the dock in a quiet harbor. Order at the counter, pick a picnic table. All seating is outdoor some is covered. Enjoy the view, they bring the food when ready. Best deal is the lobster and mussel (or clam) combo. Soft shell lobster, 1... More
