This is a hole in the wall with very good and fresh seafood - at fancy restaurant prices. From reading the reviews, I expected spectacular. The food was very good and the portions generous. But for the price - $28 for 5 scallops, average fries and slaw, and no place to sit ( four tables inside, a couple picnic benches... More

Seafood is one of my favorite things. Being from MA, I'm lucky to have it more often than not. However, I don't think I've EVER had it quite as fresh or as good as I did here. Mike (the owner) who we just met at our first visit here, serves up some of the freshest and best tasting seafood you'll... More

Excellent seafood at a good price. Please note that listings for the Fisherman's Grill and the Fisherman's Net are for the same restaurant at 849 Forest Avenue in Portland Maine. The Net is the retail fish market next to the Grill, which is the eatery.

Great quality seafood. It was very fresh and the servings quite large. The location is small and does not offer ambiance, just great seafood.

This restaurant is very small with only a couple of tables, and four picnic tables outside. Ambiance is lacking but the food is excellent in quality and quantity. Our party of five all rated this seafood outstanding.

Stopped in last night for a first-time visit. This restaurant is truly a hole-in-the-wall with about 4 small tables inside and a few longer, community-style tables outside. What this spot lacks in ambience (there is none) is made up in freshness of food and friendliness of counter staff (there is plenty). As other reviewers point out, the lobster roll is... More

Great lobster rolls. Didn't realize it's picknick tables outside and cash only. Kids fish and chips good. We would go back.

Choice of 3 sizes of lobster rolls, no filler and low on the mayo. Very tasty and low key, some may even call it a "dive". It is worth a stop if you're in the Portland area. The menu is limited, but why would you want anything else?!? Downside: there are two conflicting handwritten signs, one says, "credit cards charged... More

So fresh and delicious! The cole slaw was also delicious as was the tartar sauce! Very friendly staff too. Definitely worth the effort to locate this gem!

The fried seafood is excellent ,but a little pricy. The portions are large and can easily be split .Eat inside ,but only a few tables, mostly for take out. Friendly owner/chef/cook. Very big and tasty lobster rolls too.
