coming from other state, you may think : Oh Maine lobsters ,they must be cheap since they are right there............wrong, market price is what it is, they said the lobster was 1 1/2 Lbs, hard to know, anyway, the tail was the best part, obviously the head was empty and body had nothing except for the thicker legs. price about... It was full in the bar area this particular Friday in February since it was still Happy Hour time. The atmosphere was lively. There was a cozy smokyness in the air coming from the kitchen, which was a perfect feel on this cold and windy winter night. You could see the kitchen from the busy bar as well as from... More

Dined at Boone's on January 25th. Desiree was my server and was very attentive and made excellent recommendations from the Fixed Prix Menu. I found the fish chowder to be very tasty. I also enjoyed the Caesar salad and it was accompanied by biscuits and blueberry bread that were freshly baked and delicious. The seafood ravioli included fresh shrimp, scallops... More

Hands down the worst place I've EVER been to in my life!! From the waitress to the General Manager, everyone was very disrespectful. The problematic part was I was noticing it was only happening to me! It pains me to say this, but as a person of colour, I did not feel welcomed there. Therefore, if you are a minority,... More

Went for dinner here after searching seafood places in Portland Maine and finding that many are quite expensive. We were seated right away. I ordered coleslaw instead of salad ($2.00 for a large serving). It was excellent; fresh, crispy, and perfectly dressed. My dinner was a substantial portion of cusk ?, lobster hash cakes, and spinach. Very good and fresh,... More

My wife and I had lunch there. The restaurant is nice. The people are too and the service was good. The only real good part about the lunch was the clam chowder. It was very good and filling. However, it was weird the way they serve it. They offer it in a 7 and 14oz size. My wife got the... More

I visited on a holiday and found it was easy to get parked and to get a seat which was good as we were on a time budget. I had the fish & chips and my GF had the fish taco's. The French fries were hand cut and excellent. The hand made chips I got were good but cold -... More

We went for HH and it is a Very Good Happy Hour, maybe top 10 for Portland for drink prices and some free snacks. Like most places a wonderful local beer selection and some good oyster pricing. Service good, atmosphere on the water excellent.

I wanted to really like this place as the staff are excellent. Both food and cocktails very un-even. Oysters were fantastic, but fish and chips without fries? Just potatoe chips. Who made that decision? And for over 20$ a plate at lunch. Will try back at happy hour.

The 10 of us had the the worst meals we have ever had in Portland. The fish and lobster was old and had an off taste. Add the unreasonable prices, we suggest one avoid the place. We walked away feeling ripped off. The other restaurants should join together and run them out of town; giving the waterfront a bad name.

Thank Terry T
