We went here during our free time after our lighthouse tour. I had a whole lobster and it was so fresh and tasty. My bib was coated with drawn better, yummy. The clams were great and the clam chowder.

If you're looking for a drink and fresh oysters, this is a good stop. A little pricey but very good. Favorites are the oysters from Virginia. For some reason the local oysters from Maine are $5 more per dozen....disappointed in that. Was told to try the lobster stew....i did and it was good...not great. Plenty of lobster short on flavor.... More

The seafood is absolutely fresh, and that's exactly what you want with shellfish. The food is good Maine fare, nothing fancy, but everything done well. The lobster roll is fresh and overflowing, and the oysters are tasty. The atmosphere is terrific. A mixture of local regulars and folks from out of town in a setting overlooking the harbor. At busy... More

Get a real taste of great seafood and atmosphere here. I've been in Portland for a long time now (though still "from away"). Locals, native and from away, love the place. A-yuh, 'nuf said.

This place is a great local 'dive' restaurant - nothing fancy but ok food and terrific view of the waterfront. A bit pricy for a what you get so we leave the kids at home to grab a drink and oysters, and sometimes a lobster, at the bar.

Oysters go out of the water and onto the plate. Outstanding food. Obviously frequented by locals and has craft beer on tap.

Six of us had dinner to celebrate my grandson's graduation from college. Food was fabulous, drinks and atmosphere was great. The waitress was perfect. Just be prepared for a wait for seating.

We ate dinner at J's tonight...yum! They had terrific steamers by the bucket full, yummy lobster stew and excellently cooked Halibut....it is not fancy, not many tables, big bar but great food at a fair price.

No fine dining here just good and simple seaford. My Salmon kebabs were large and well seasoned chunks of blackened fish. My husband's bouillabaisse had a great selection of seafood in a garlic and tomato sauce. However the sauce did contain some grit . Desserts were a bit disappointing as we were pretty sure that the blueberries in the cobbler... More
