Passed by DiMillo's while in Portland and decided to make reservations later in our stay. Very nice restaurant on the pier. Restaurant looks like a ship as you enter the walkway to the deck. We had dinner on the main floor - there were tables...More

Had the seafood combo. Did not get the selection I ordered, but ate anyway. Food was ok but portion was very large.

It was my first experience of tasting lobster and I wasn't disappointed. It was a great novelty cracking it apart and getting to good stuff under the shell. The lobster was delicious but I would have like it to be a bit warmer. The setting...More

DeMillo's is a place to take "people from away" with its prime setting on Casco Bay, rather nice interior of a converted ferry, pleasant and efficient staff, reasonable prices, and free parking. But: It falters significantly in that it does not make any effort to...More

Love the fact they turned a ferry boat into this very nice restaurant but the prices really chase away the mid income families, but they probably don't care because they are belly up with all the yachts in the same marina. The area has much...More

We dined at DiMillo’s for our anniversary dinner and it was perfection! My filet was tender and incredible, melted in my mouth! My husband ordered the admirals portion of Lazy Man’s Lobster, meaning it’s already shelled for you, also incredible, melt in your mouth! We...More

Must be almost a football field long and just as fancy as it was long. Lobster claws were not on every restaurant menu, here they are served as a large portion. You must go slow if you have already tried the clam chowder...very good. At...More

With onsite parking in the heart of downtown Portland you can't go wrong. Efficient (although not exactly friendly) staff and several excellent entrees (the fish tacos and fried clams being two of the them). You can't go wrong on a nice summer (or Indian summer)...More

Ate at Dimillo's before a concert at the Cross Arena last week. Nice, although busy atmosphere. Good views of the Marina from almost every table.Wife had the Pecan encrusted Haddock with Butternut Squash/Cornbread Stuffing and she said it was the best fish she's ever had!...More

We had dinner here on a Monday night in September. Parking was easy and free with validation. Even though the place was quiet we still had to wait 40 minutes for a table, which was a bit odd, but since we were there we stayed....More

I have traveled much throughout the world. Weighing everything together I would say Dimillos is up at the top. I love Casco Bay. I even took a scuba 'Dry Suit' course in the dead of winter close by at Cape Elizabeth (it was even snowing that day...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND 'Aqua Diving Academy'...say hello to Julie, Jim, and Lee). I have taken the Casco Bay ferry early in the morning...I prefer the summer...but in the winter you will even see me on the bow like in the movie Titanic with the couple on the bow. I really love it when DiMillos has a fresh swordfish special. However everything I have tried has been magnificent! Who is the head chef? Has he/she been there for years? How do you make everything consistent? The way things are cooked and the seasoning is perfect. Every time the waiters/waitresses have provided excellent service...a testament to who interviews and hires the staff. I will be back...God willing, again and again. Jeff 'seaHunt_Cousteau' P

Our restaurant actually floats, and because it is surrounded by water, every table offers spectacular views of Portland Harbor. Our outside decks are great spots to see the sights while enjoying a meal or cocktail. Maine lobster is what we do here and we do it better than anyone.
