The ice cream is lovely and it has some flavors that I had never heard of nor imagined. The quick wit behind the counter taught me the difference between a waffle and a sugar cone.

This is a great artisanal ice cream shop with interesting flavors and unusual twists. Blueberry basil is perhaps an unusual combo, but Maine's wild blueberries are a match for basil. Khulfi is chock full of pistachios with Indian spices. Let your imagination run wild, but don't expect same old, same old here! The flavors change regularly, but there are a... More

So, we wanted ice cream and wandered over to this place, which was still open although it was around 9 pm. What wonderful ice cream. I had the fig ice cream, which was so good I am sure I will dream of it in the future. Everyone else loved their ice cream too, and I thought my bites of other... More

Thius is a small unassuming shop. It is small so I assume in the summer, when it is busy, there musy be a line. We went in September. They have mutiple non traditional selections like sweet basil and orange tarragon. The ice cream was fabulous.

Ice cream was very tasty! Lots of flavours to chose from, there's always a different flavour for everyone each one is delicious! It's all homemade, which makes this place even better. Waffle cones are yummy also! The employees are also very friendly!

Very friendly and the staff is willing to let you try whatever you like before purchasing their icecream. I had a scoop of the oreo and the sea salted caramel, delicious, creamy and would try it again. Check out the website for their flavors, not your normal chocolate vanilla strawberry. Great little ice cream place.

I had no intention of indulging in ice cream when I walked up Exchange St on a hot Sunday afternoon. But I found it was impossible to pass the Mt Desert Island Ice Cream shop. I'd been there before and knew how good it was and how many flavors were unusual and tempting. In I went and ordered a huge... More

We stopped in at this ice creamery while in Portland and it was such a good find! I loooved the earl grey flavoured one, London Fog, and I also tried the butterbeer which was also creamy and delicious. My boyfriend had the 7 bar and a rocky road one and loved them both too. We'd definitely recommend this place!

Of all the ice cream stores in town, we were told to give this one a try. Apparently President Obama beat us to it with his recent trip to Portland, as they have a prominent photo displayed of him holding his ice cream cone. First, you have to applaud the range of creative flavors they list on their menu board.... More

I work next door and often stop in for an ice cream on my way home. I am dairy free but they always have several sorbets and they are always delicious. Interesting variety of flavors...my favorite is blueberry basil sorbet.
