We were walking around Portland from a Cruise ship when we passed this place. A local man saw us looking and told us that we just had to try the donuts because they were so good. On our way back to the ship we took his advice and tried the Potato as well as the Maple and Cinnamon sugar donuts.... More

Attraction is the potato flour but the donuts have a nice crisp, some unique flavors. Basically a cake donut with various toppings including Maine fave Allen's Coffee Brandy. Fruit glazes not to be missed as well as chocolate sea salt. Only problem is price - geared to tourists who have to get one.

Amazing spud nuts with unusual and delicious toppings. Our group of six tried dark chocolate and sea salt, cinnamon sugar, lemon glaze, bacon and maple icing, and sweet potato glaze. Run by nice folks with a great product.

I am not sure how to even describe how much I love these donuts. They are delicious, decadent, luxurious, and just simply amazing. Every time I am in Portland I HAVE to stop at The Holy Donut and get as many donuts as humanly possible. When my friends from Portland come to visit me, my only request is that they... More

These donuts are so good. The shop closes when they sell out so the earlier you get there the better. Check out their website for the list of flavors. My favorite was the dark chocolate donut with coconut icing and toasted coconut.

These donuts have the most perfect, thin crust of any donut I have ever had the privilege of biting into. They are dense in a good way and even the gluten free ones are excellent. My favorites are the sweet potato ginger and dark chocolate sea salt. They are hands down the best donuts you will ever eat. Anywhere. Ever.

Donuts are quite pricey, so would recommend to those who have gluten allergies $2+ for a single donut

Love the donuts here, especially the glazed sweet potato and placed lemon. They're made from potato instead of wheat flour.

Its not obvious these donuts are made of potato but they are certainly different and delicious. Nice consistency and great flavors. The place is big enough to grab seat if you want to sit with your donut but not so much you should plan to settle in. Not overpriced and the service meets expectations. I have a list of must... Have heard a lot about this place from colleagues at work who vacation in the Portland area. They all rave about how good these donuts are. I find that most places don't live up to the hype. Well not this place. These donuts are simply delicious. I tried the triple berry holy canolli. It was so dense and packed with... More
