Didn't eat here but stopped in for a beer and teen daughter and friend had sodas. Hubby loved Bissel Brothers Substance and I had Jacks Abbey porter. Relaxed vibe. I tried 3 beers. Knowledgable staff.

Wandering around Portland on a Tuesday night we stumbled on this place. Good energy. Good vibe. We enjoyed ourselves. Lots of musicians and artists around. It was very laid back and the pretzel hit the spot with some really interesting tap selections on draft. Give it a try.

Happened upon this little pub for lunch. Don't expect anything fancy. We had creative sausages and sides and tried some local beers. Good lunch place.

Don't waste your time going here. Nothing exciting about the menu. Food was blah at best. Their pretzel...save yourselfa few bucks and pickup the same exact thing at a gas station convenience store. Nothing exciting with the service...no personality from any of them. Keep on walking. You're not that thirsty to stop into this overrated bar that's cluttered with items... More

We loved this place. Love the casual vibe. The food is amazing, the beer list is as good and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. We will be back!

Being that Portland is such a foodie city, we were sure to experience as much as we could of the scrumptious variety of flavors that make up this wonderful little city while there on a recent trip! Our favorite place, hands down, is an awesome pub on Exchange Street – The Thirsty Pig. We knew immediately upon arriving that we... More

We stopped in for our first drink during a night in Old Port. It's a very small venue but the super friendly staff helped us find a seat. They have a solid beer list and great glassware. We didn't eat but the menu looked fun. The live band was good but a bit too loud in such a small spot.... More

This is a great place to eat , home made sausage in a huge variety of dishes with plenty of local beers to choose from. Go on a Saturday afternoon when there is live music from local musicians / singers. Staff are very friendly offering advice on which beers you may like giving a free taister to help you decide... Stopped in for lunch on a cold Wednesday afternoon. In December, we expect the weather to be cold, but not the inside of the restaurant (the heat was turned on/up after we complained). My wife ordered a hot dog which she enjoyed. I had the chili which was served barely room temperature (remember, it was cold inside) and the Italian... More

Always a favorite when in Portland. Features great local beers and handmade sausages and pickles. Enjoyed a spicy hot dog wrapped in crispy cheese.

Beer and Sausage. The two things we do best. Paring our house-made sausages with the best Maine-made beer we can find.
