Pastries, cookies, breads - it's all made from scratch, on-site, and it's all scrumptious, a far cry from any mainstream chain coffee shop. Don't miss this bakery for breakfast, lunch or a snack. Service at the counter was "fine" - could have been a little more friendly - but it didn't matter because the food was so delicious. Enjoy!

This artisanal bakery is absolutely a must while in Portland! All of their breads and pastries are made from scratch daily (which you can clearly see through the large production windows in the main room) and the bakery was filled with locals each time we visited, which we took as a very good sign! Their hand-rolled almond croissants were the... More

It doesn't get any better than this! One of the best in the country, this bakery does it right. The breads are not of this world, done the way bread should de done. Light, crusty, and airy when it should be, or dense when called for. Pastries? You'll be lucky to score, get there early.

Stopped again this past weekend, as we always do when anywhere near Portland. EVERYTHING here is excellent. Whether in the mood for a delicious croissant, one of their many varieties of bread, cookies, or whatever, your taste buds will be tickled.

The line is long for a reason! Everything they bake is amazing. So if you are looking for coffee and a light breakfast or lunch, or you need some baked goods for a dinner party, it is the place to go.

Sincerely: Everything you would expect from a Parisian patisserie/boulangerie. Some savory items as well that are perfect for a picnic lunch. Also self serve coffees and teas. Don't miss this gem right near the ferry terminal, take your picnic out into Casco Bay for a scenic cruise. It will be a highlight of your visit to Portland! Magnifique! P.S. We... More

Excellent breads particularly challah baguette and rolls. A little difficult to find a place to park especially around 4-5 pm

A must try in Portland. The choice of freshly baked goods is insane. Almond croissant and asiago pizzas are our favorites - but it's so hard to lock in on something because it's all so good.

Visit this bakery early in the day for best selection....they run out of pastries and certain breads early in the day so make this an early stop on your itinerary. Every bakery treat we tried was outstanding and the loaves of bread are very generous, crispy, yet light. Coffee is spectacular too and prices are fair.

Grabbed our coffee there while staying at the Hilton (coffee there was lousy). Essentially shares the same parking lot as the hotel. Fresh bakery items. Almond croissant was nice.
