"The 'Poon" as the locals call it is a hidden gem on the coast, near the Marshall Point Lighthouse. Be sure to check the open hours for the bar and you can get a deelish meal served by (maybe) Kurt. A Really nice guy who...More

We have been going to the Black Harpoon for many years and it has always been fair to good. It is a small coastal Maine restaurant and attached bar (called The Poon). The menu has been upgraded with bar food specials most evenings such as...More

We use to love Cappys in Camden. Now the Black Harpoon is the best place since Cappys closed. The atmosphere is awesome as is the folks in the place. All are friendly and there is great food. We will keep going back.

We met many people we hadn't seen in a while and enjoy the staff that serves good food and drink. Family friendly and seasonal dining room with the bar service all the time.

We used to make a point of dining here whenever in Port Clyde. It was always a great meal, lovely atmosphere and reasonable price for what you knew was going to be a good meal. More recently, it has not been as predictable--but, when it's...More

For nearly ten years, my wife and I have been coming to Maine. As each year passed, we found ourselves traveling further up the coast, trying to avoid overcrowded tourist traps. Thank goodness we found Port Clyde. A little town that offers rustic Maine beauty...More

The Back Harpoon is back!! Under new ownership, the restaurant is going back to it's original name! We have a new kitchen and a fresh look in the dining room! A great chef, cooking local seafood, mouthwatering steaks and plenty of other items to delight your taste buds!
