It seemed to us that their lobsters tasted better than other restaurants in the area . The place is so authentic, a real cozy room with simple wooden benches and tables. And the staff is super friendly. This is now an automatic choice in ogunquit.

Oozing charm located close to the picturesque draw bridge, is this area called Perkins Cove and The Marginal Way. Most restaurants are still closed for the winter season and we were both happy and lucky Lobster Shack is open already. We were welcomed by a lovely lady who came outside to entice and greet us. We ordered at the walk... More

Very full delicious lobster roll with a lot of chunk-size lobster; cole slaw comes with it & is fresh & homemade. Also comes with chips. Staff are very nice & helpful. Would definitely go back again. The lobster roll comes in 3 sizes - regular, double, & triple.

If you want a true, down-to-earth Maine treat, you must go to the Shack on Perkin's Cove. I've always wanted to go and was lucky enough to get there on opening day this season for lunch. The lobster rolls have the perfect amount of dressing....fish sandwich is fresh and sautéed (instead of battered/fried).....beer selection is good.... atmosphere is fun, and... More

The Lobster Shack is tiny and quaint, located smack-dab in the middle of Perkins Cove. Hands-down, it serves the best lobster rolls and chowder in Ogunquit--perhaps even in all of New England. During peak times, you may have a bit of a wait to get a table, but if the weather is nice there is outdoor seating close by, so... More

We decided to walk the Marginal Way from the Ogunquit Beach starting point. It started raining when we were half way on the Marginal Way but that didn't stop us for enjoying the beautiful scenery and arriving in Perkins Cove. We walked around and wanted a light lunch so we went into the Lobster Shack which was so quaint and... More

Why else do you come to Maine? Besides the beaches the food here is the best for seafood lovers. I didn't need the nice restaurant to find great food here. It's all about the freshness and quality here. They do simple great nothing fancy just great.

Nothing fancy, but the food was outstanding and at great prices. It's worth a visit to this beautiful Southern Maine seaside town.

Enjoy lobster, steamers, lobster rolls, chowder and a whole lot more in a friendly, casual atmosphere. Live lobsters caught by local lobstermen wait in tanks filled with ocean water coming straight from the cove. Choose your size and two sides. For all the taste without the work, have a lobster roll any way you like it...a quarter pound single, double-stuffed, triple, or an entire pound on a buttery toasted roll with or without mayo. The lobster wrap and lobster BLT are also recently added favorites. Homemade chowder made from an old family recipe is a great way to start your meal, there's no thickening flour just the perfect combination of clams, fish, potatoes, onions and spices in a milk and cream base. The "Shack" has been owned and operated by the Evans family since the 1980s and is proud to serve the hottest chowder and the coldest beer in town. Let Jason, his family and his crew provide you with a true Maine eating experience in the oldest restaurant in Perkins Cove...
