The buffalo tenders are to die for. My wife had the fish tacos that were off the hook. If you are looking for a few drinks and some great food. This is the place to go. Always sit at the bar. Great service every time

The place is thronged with locals and very busy, too many ales to go into in this review but whichever you choose try a sampler first. I had a Lamb burger and fries, excellent stuff with feta cheese and roast peppers..what makes this special no greasy after taste and none on the plate, the meat was very tasty and succulent.... How could this be anything but a sparkling review. Local Beers, good food and The NY Giants on Monday night football for this New Yorker visiting Maine for the first time in 30 years! Great bartender and friendly patrons made us feel right at home.

I came here with my family during a very busy lunch time and we were well taken care of! Our waiter Lee was excellent, very courteous and fast! I highly recommend the pulled pork sweet potato fries as an app! Great food and very reasonable prices

Gritty' was interesting, with a friendly ambience, local music. There were interesting items on the menu that we tried. Sweet potato fries with pulled pork, BBQ sauce and cheese. 👍🏻 YUM! The entrees were good, except the mac n cheese which was a bit boring. All in all, not too bad. Local brews to taste make it quite interesting!

Stopped in before checking into our hote, had never heard of this Brewery. The beer was really good, tried out a couple. Ordered the lobster grilled cheese to share as we were not very hungry with an order of onion rings. The onion rings were hand made, little greasy but really tasty. The grill cheese was awesome. This was homemade... More

We stopped here for a bite to eat and a few drinks. Sat at the bar & got great service. The fried shrimp basket was yummy, not greasy at all. My boyfriend had the French onion soup and homemade potato chips and loved them both. We will have to try the Portland location next time.

Ate here this weekend - RT 1 lost the power and the restaurant finished serving the guests that had already ordered before the power went out, but let in no more customers. The fish my husband ordered was not cooked and it was cold. His stomach didn't feel good so we went shopping for pepto. My lunch which was supposed... More

Gritty McDuff's, Maine's Original Brew Pub specializes in hand-crafted English style ales and traditional and creative pub fare, in a friendly and fun atmosphere. Both Gritty's fine ales and the pubs have won countless "best of" awards through our twenty-six years of operation. Our standard brews are session beers, Gritty's Pub-Style Pale Ale, McDuff's Best Bitter, Black Fly Stout, allowing one to have multiple beers within a reasonable time period without overwhelming the senses. Our seasonal and varietal ale offerings are more adventurous, some with a higher ABV, and some with higher IBU. We brew a beer for all craft brew palates. For the diner, we offer traditional pub fare alongside not so traditional specialty items. Our pub-style long tables with benches easily accommodate parties of all sizes and add to the camaraderie.
