Tired of the fast paced hustle and bustle of the big city? Come to the WACO and experience the way diners were run at a more relaxed period in time. Chat with the locals, get a hot breakfast that is good to boot and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere.

Excellent food at a very reasonable price. Had breakfast excellent corned beef hash hard to find. View while seated in rear of diner is phenomenal. Campabello may be visible from the seating area. Easternmost tip of ME is evident I believe by being in the diner. Very cordial management Mainers through and through. Wish I could make it a regular... More

Great service, good beer, decent chowder and seafood. We sat on the deck and eavesdropped on some people who seemed to be in town for a wedding and who perhaps had expectations of the area that were a bit high for this tiny, remote town. It's a lovely place with about 1200 residents, most of whom are not wealthy, so... More

I ate a late breakfast here and really enjoyed it. The first time I ever had diner coffee and it was good. Staff was friendly, atmosphere was great diner atmosphere. I loved the home fries.

Went to the WaCo today with my wife and had a great experience. The two waitresses work very great together. The younger one was calling the other one "Nan", must be her grandmother. There was a little wait, but the girls made up for it. They took great care of us, even though they were so busy. Would go back.

The last few times I ate here, the food was, well just not a great as it once was. The present line cook just doesn't always cook the food the same, and really doesn't seem to care what goes out of the kitchen. We know the waitresses, and they give great service. I love a good hearty breakfast, but I... More

The waitress greeted the table seated after us with a friendly "hello how are you boys" and proceeded to our table without even looking at us literally threw our menus down on the table in front of us and walked away without a single word. My husband and I sat stunned. She returned just a minute later to the woman... More

Visited for lunch. We just end ordered burgers and Ruben. Took forever to get food. Would not substitute sweet potato fries for regular fries, had to get both vs paying price difference. Would pick a different place.

Stopped here for breakfast of smoked salmon, eggs and bagels. Very good food and very down to earth home style place.

Love little 'dives' like this, 'local' and part of the pleasure of a place. Found it through Trip Advisor, again, a wonderful 'steer'. I'm not usually a breakfast gal, but the blueberry stuffed french toast was DECADENT, what with all the cream cheese, and Jim's Eggs Benedict was the best-looking version I've seen in a LOOOOONG time (he pronounced it...
