They serve meals but are also a bakery. They do catering and offer a reasonable price. My favorite is the Apple fritter, they are excellent! I also recommend them for your Holiday baking. They will take orders ahead of time and can make anything.

This place has fantastic baked goods. The donuts are the best I have ever had. The breads are all excellent, and make the best toast ever. I get apple fritters for my friend in Bangor and drop them off on the way to my house. Stop here, you'll thank me.

If you are traveling through this part of Maine, you do need to plan on a meal or a snack at this little out-of-the way bakery. The very down- to-earth simplicity and size give the Country Bakery a charm of it's own. Many friendly locals come in to get food while you eat your lunch at one of the 6... More

Most of our family lives in the southern part of the state. We started picking up some fresh bread (and other tasty treats too) on our way through to bring with us. Now every time we head down someone will ask if we'll be stopping in at the bakery to pick up some fresh bread.

This bakery offers fantastic homemade from scratch bakery breads, pastries, and luncheon sandwiches. My very favorite and worth the stop for on US RT.1 in Bridgewater, Maine at the windmill and across from the NEW Gulf station, are the Boston Cream filled crullers with chocolate frosting at only $00.99. ; the cinnamon buns without the icing; and the molasses bread.... This is a small, relatively new building on the west side of route one as you go north out of Bridgewater, Maine. It is opposite the road that takes you to Florenceville, New Brunswick. We stopped in hoping they might have lobster rolls. Unfortunately, they only have those in the summer months - usually on Wednesday. Home baked breads, doughnuts,... More
