A must-try when traveling near Belfast, Maine. Young's Lobster Pound is where fresh seafood all begins. Fresh catch prepared in a no frills facility fresh from the ocean to your plate. Seating is outdoors on the water at picnic tables with plastic forks. You can bring your own beverages in a cooler if you want or order soft drinks inside.... More

We stumbled upon Young's while looking at google maps for things to do near our motel in Belfast. I was surprised to see a BYOB restaurant, as it's not something I've encountered before. You guys, this place is awesome. It's right on the water, with patios overlooking the river/bay, and the seafood was so fresh and amazing! I will definitely... More

Looks like a warehouse when you pull up. Building full of lobster tanks with a small service counter. Food can be eaten there or taken to go. Orders are slow to get - approx 15-20 wait at the counter. Cheaper than a sit down restaurant but still expensive- everything is extra, including utensils. Worth it to go at least once.

I have been here many times. Fresh Lobster that they catch themselves. Their clam chowder ,shrimp, clams and everything else on the menu is also very good You can eat inside or outside with beautiful views. Bring your own side dishes and drinks to make enjoyable

I've known Young's for years and Finally managed to drag my wife there. She was Not disappointed. Best lobster in the World, really nice, friendly people. We went there off season so did not have to deal with the crowds. Freshest lobster available, super fresh seafood, would go back in a minute!

Young's Lobster pound is in the perfect location situated directly on the water looking at downtown Belfast. This is exactly the kind of eatery you look for up and down the Maine coast. Ideally, somewhere you can enjoy the view and eat some lobster! When you pull up to Young's, it looks a bit like a warehouse where all the... More

Been coming since I was a kid. Affordable and delicious. No frills just amazing lobsters, steamers and chowder. Pack your own picnic and beverages and enjoy a tasty meal. You won't be disappointed. Make sure you tip as they work hard and appreciate it!
