McLaughlin Seafood Market offers top notch, fresh seafood at terrific prices. We were driving back to Boston so we spread the meals out...The Maine shrimp could not have been sweeter, sauteed with butter and herbs, The ahi-grade tuna was was the cleanest tuna we've ever seared, melt in your mouth. Third day, the crab, light with no shells-only regret is... More

Small place with restaurant and seafood market. Lunch special was Lobster roll and sides for like $14. Ordered a cup (pint) of their lobster stew. Both were very good. The stew was just about as fresh and tasty as I have had anywhere. Lobster roll was very good, toasted roll made it among the best as well. Worth stopping for... More

Delicious seafood, reasonable prices., super service. A glass of wine by the firepit while we waited was special.

Dined on Crab & Lobster, and couldn't have been more satisfied. We moved out to the firepit and finished our meal and drinks there. Love the atmosphere, loved the food even more. I'd like to go back and explore more of the menu, but I'd likely get lobster again! Nice selection of craft brews on tap. It wasn't particularly cheap,... More

Full lobster roll which was quite tasty. Food came quick. Fries are coated, I'd pass on those next time. Good coleslaw. Was busy so we stopped in for a bite. Not disappointed but we were not raving fans either.

$40 for a fried basket, a lobster roll, and two waters. The scallops were OK, the lobster roll tiny and flavorless, the potato salad and coleslaw sides were non-descript and served in small plastic tubs. The fries were good and the bottled water seemed fresh but I still felt like crap afterward. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere that... More

This road side diner has the charm of Maine. They have all the lobster dishes you would expect. They have a lot of fried dishes also. My wife ordered the lobster roll which was loaded and tasty. I ordered the lobster stew. It was ok. It had lots of lobster but the broth was a bit thin and not very... More

The place is still very unassuming which is charming taking into account the spirit of the place, the problem is that memory tends to be demanding and more when you have already had a different experience in the same place, clam chowder was good, seafood chowder below average as well as the lobster roll we had, sorry to say that... If you want roadside seafood without driving too far from Bangor, McLaughlin's should suit you just fine. I would say it deserves a 3.5 to 4 star rating based on our experience. The restaurant is a drive up place with a few picnic tables but no indoor seating. There is a take out window to order your food. Once prepared,... More
