No frills cajun diner. The menu was limited and there was nothing really different from other cajun restaurants. The location was not really noticeable as we almost drove past it while looking for it. It is in an old strip center and is basically a large open room with tables and a Tv in the corner. We were here for... More

We had driven by this place the day before, so I knew it was kind of a local dive. We ordered the seafood platter. The oysters were overcooked, the shrimp was tasteless, the catfish filet was very small, and I didn't see or taste any crab meat in the stuffed crab. I ordered a baked potato with my meal and... I can't pick a favorite meal at this hometown, wonderful restaurant. My problem is trying to decide what to eat. Having tried just about everything on their menu, I can truthfully say you will not be disappointed. From boudin and gumbo to their fresh Louisiana seafood. Before I get carried away, the friendliest staff around. You will think you must... More

The pistolettes were something to write home about! Their ribeye steak is melting in your mouth delicious, and their crawfish boils are best around. The staff are sweet and professional, and I highly recommend this place.

Overpriced meals and food seems like it had been sitting for an hour and it took forever. Grilled shrimp was small and dry. Sweet potato was small and shriveled. Catfish was way too peppery and too much batter. Meals were just way over priced for what you got. And outdated - meal came with salad that looked like someone opened... More

The care of us was excellent. Slow on the food coming out, seafood was well prepared, the hamburger steak was overdone and dry, appetizers wear tasty. This trip was less than the average for this restaurant but no one left hungry. Ample amount of food for all.

not a fancy place, to be sure, but the food was superb, waitstaff friendly and efficient and prices were reasonable. great fun watching locals devour boiled crawfish, it's an acquired art! not unlike a Yankee diving into a steamed Maine Lobster.
