Always enjoy eating here when we travel. They have a good selection and their crawfish is great when in season.

We stopped here on a whim for Sunday lunch. The hostess recited several lunch specials from which we chose 2. The Fried Eggplant Medallions covered in Crawfish Étouffée was very good. The serving portion was large enough for 2 people. My husband chose the Fried Catfish Filet over rice covered in Crawfish Étouffée. The food was tasty, served fast, and... More
We tried Camile's on our trip home. My wife had the red beans and rice with sausage. It was good but nothing special. I had the seafood gumbo. Very good rue but the seafood was about nonexistent. The bowl had maybe 6 small shrimp along with rice. Being a great fan of gumbo and routinely cooking large pots at home,... More
We have planned trips around getting to eat here. They have the best crawfish and oysters I have ever had. Anyone I know going in the area, I suggest that they eat here.
This was our 2nd visit to Camile's Restaurant found it quite good. My wife and I do not eat a lot of seafood, but the folks we were dining with really enjoyed their meals. They do have a selection of no-seafood meals. Prices are expensive, but Camiles gives a large portion for the price.
Living in Baton Rouge give me the opportunity to try all kinds of restaurants. So as a surprise, I was taken to Camile's. I have passed it many times over the years, but never been. I throughly enjoyed the cajun crabcakes and seafood bake potato. Camile's is a gem that should not be overlooked.
We had eaten at this restaurant a couple of years ago on our way down to New Orleans. It was 1:30 and we were starving and this was the first restaurant we came to after getting on Hwy 190. We had the jambalaya and the gumbo and both were fantastic! They also had a pretty complete menu if your taste... More
Well I-10 was backed up off of the Mississippi River bridge going west out of Baton Rouge and needed to get off on US-190. After a few miles my wife said she was hungry, so we started looking. We came to an intersection on the highway and she saw MacDonald's and I saw across the road Camile's with good number... More
The Gumbo was great, really good boudin balls and mediocre potato salad. Service was really good. When in Louisiana, I eat gumbo almost every meal. Nice local atmosphere in the bar. I'll be back!
This place is great. I walked in, and was immediately greeted by friendly staff members. My server recommended the alligator balls, and they were fantastic. The food was great, the prices were very affordable, and the staff was amazingly friendly. I will definitely be back again.
