Fun place to get good local food, especially fried specialties like soft shell crab, fish, shrimp... The place is often crowded, so you may have to wait on the weekend. It's a large place so don't expect an intimate, romantic dinner. Don't expect to lose...More
The oyster po boy was pretty good. I called my food in to go. The to go orders are picked up in the bar. It took the bartender (with an empty bar) a good five minutes to acknowledge me and actually walked past me a...More

Always takes awhile to get in but its always worth the wait. Salad was delicious, gumbo (chicken) and combo dinner was fantastic! Service was also excellent even though I know they were extremely busy every time I've been.
The oyster bar is so much fun. The guys were very entertaining. It was typical of most places and the food and service is good.
This was the best food on our short trip. We had oysters, grilled and raw. I had something that was so good I wanted to eat my lips!! Then we split a bowl of bread pudding with ice-cream. Delicious!!!

Words cannot describe the flavor of this signature dish at Acme Oyster House. It is without a doubt heaven-on-earth. Whenever I return to Metairie, I will always make time for a return visit. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and family friendly.
