Stopped here for dinner. Casual place. Started with the crab claws which were tasty small and fried, but perfect size to snack on. I do not care for raw oysters, but my dining companion suggested the char grilled oysters saying that if I didn't care for them, he would eat them all anyway. Well, they were absolutely wonderful. I was... More

Stopped in one afternoon after work craving raw oysters. They were delicious, salty and ice cold. And the oyster shuckers were so friendly. Definitely recommend this for some raw or oysters and ice cold brew!

Great oyster. Especially the chargrilled. Not your steak house. Everything seafood is great. I love the oysters best.

I ordered half dozen char-grilled oysters and a bowl of seafood gumbo. I sat at the bar at lunch and service was excellent. Char-grilled oysters were awesome (Had a pearl in one oyster. They say that is good luck.) Seafood gumbo had small shrimp and crab meat. It was good but not great.

Fun place to get good local food, especially fried specialties like soft shell crab, fish, shrimp... The place is often crowded, so you may have to wait on the weekend. It's a large place so don't expect an intimate, romantic dinner. Don't expect to lose weight here.

The oyster po boy was pretty good. I called my food in to go. The to go orders are picked up in the bar. It took the bartender (with an empty bar) a good five minutes to acknowledge me and actually walked past me a few times just meandering around the bar.

Got chargrilled oysters to compare to Drago's. They were tasty but not as good: Acme = 8, Drago's = 10 Gumbo and mixed grill both good. Again, not as good as Drago's. Good location. Worth a visit for sure. They take the credit card off to process, Drago's keeps it at the table. This is important.

My mom and I enjoyed our meal at Acme Oyster House! She had the crab cakes and I had fried fish and shrimp. Everything was very good. Our server was friendly and efficient as well as the other staff. The crab cakes were the best!! I would recommend and would eat here again!

Always takes awhile to get in but its always worth the wait. Salad was delicious, gumbo (chicken) and combo dinner was fantastic! Service was also excellent even though I know they were extremely busy every time I've been.
