My family went there for the Dragon Dumplings, which were good. However I was not pleased with the service. I felt very unappreciated and it took a long time for the food to come out. In addition, while we were there a group came in after us but were ordering a lot of food. The wait staff were falling all... More

Please do not go here. They do no value customers. Horrific customer service and just ok food. P.F. Chang's is better and more friendly.

The Lee family, even before their patriarch, Harry, became a pillar of Jefferson Parish politics for about 20 years as the Sherif, owned and operated the largest and best known Chinese restaurant. That was last century, but the quality and tastes of China, its freshness and seasonality, continued at Royal China. They have both a dim sum and regular menu.... More

Limited menu on lunch buffet but it's real and basic and good with shrimp in the egg rolls, real beef on stir fry and shrimp in the wontons.

While a limited buffet is available, I love this place for the egg rolls and egg drop soup. Menu items come with large portions.

A small restaurant featuring a wide variety of Chinese foods, this place can be very busy on weekends. The decor is simple but clean and well kept. The seafood in a nest was very nice. Friendly service, fair prices. Noise level is medium to high when crowded.

What's not to tell.....Royal China has been here for like ever and a day! Ms. Shirley knows everybody and makes sure that everybody eats very well. The Hot & Sour soup is the best we have ever had from Florida to California! The Dim Sum is what my wife and I come for and it is a 120 mile round... More

This is small but very well run place. The food seems to be cooked to order so it may be a little slow but nothing too silly. The prices are reasonable and food is great.

Had a very nice dinner tonight at the Royal China on Vets in Metairie -- good good sized platters -- real tasty choices -- sometimes lacking attention to detail of the basics. Not a real biggie but keeps it from a 5. Would go back cuz we enjoyed.

I came here based on the reviews. The food was good and all of the portions were large. My husband and I had house fried rice, which we had to take half with us because of the portion size. The shrimp roll was full of shrimp and nothing else was in it - but I didn't mind since the shrimp... More
