Country cuisine had friendly staff who assisted me with a vegetarian meal. The service was quick and the meals were large and delicious!

There seemed to be no higher rated place open on this Sunday. The parking lot was full and the staff was Southern slow. Had a catfish po boy. The fish was great, the bread not no much. The dirty rice, green beans and mac n cheese were good. The cheese burger for the girls was spicy and served on home... More

This is the typical Louisiana plate lunch restaurant. But one thing that is not typical is the fact that they serve plate lunches till 3 o'clock in the morning. Probably the best place in Lafayette to get food if you know you'll be nursing a hangover in the morning. Its not a top notch place but the food is hot... More

Pros: The door was unlocked Cons: THE DOOR WAS UNLOCKED! There was absolutely NOTHING good about this place! The person taking my order was rude. I wasn't important enough to get her to stop yelling at whoever she was screaming at like a banshee on her cellphone. My order had to WAIT! *Imagine That!* I wasn't "allowed" to receive my... More

I just finished eating the best shrimp po' boy I've ever sunk my teeth into. The roll was overflowing with plump, lightly browned shrimp and I made sure ate every last bite. It was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend you give this place a try.

The atmosphere is very relaxing. The rest is mediocre. Although the BarBQ chicken was delicious.. If you like sweet tea to be very sweet.. This is your place!

This place WAS the place to go YEARS ago. Now it's just a distant memory of it's former self. Food is now bland, flavorless, Disgusting! I guess it's gone down due to all the RANDOMS they hire. Having toothless felons cook your food and be the face of an eating establishment, Is not the business! Last time there, 2011, I... More

You know it's good when it's hard to find a place to park. The turkey wing stew rocks. Love the Creole stuffed bread too. Very casual dining. Don't forget the BBQ if your lucky enough to get some.

If you're running for public office around Lafayette, and you want the Democratic vote, this is an obligatory stop on your campaign tour. Bill Clinton understood that, and you can still order the Bill Clinton plate for lunch. If you aren't running for office, you need to stop in, anyway, because this is the prototypical "joint," and the food ain't... More
