Johnny Trauth's is not a bad place to eat. I almost gave it 4 stars. I have nothing bad to say about it. It's just that there are so many great seafood restaurants around New Orleans and vicinity that this one is merely average. In another state it would probably be considered at least 4 stars. We've eaten here occasionally... More

Food is mediocre, and restaurant was almost empy the last three time I went there. Servers are friendly, but something is missing.

It took several minutes before someone met us at the door. The restaurant was nearly empty when we got there. It took what seemed like forever to get our food. Although the food was good, it wasn't worth the wait.

Decent seafood. Funky decor. Decent value. I highly recommend the po-boys. The tea is good, too. Very comfortable but a bit noisy.

Horrible service, terrible food. This was a new level bad. While we were there a woman slipped and fell in water caused by the server. Know one from the place seemed to care. Will never go there again.

There were 5 of us plus 2 children on a Sunday evening. There were two other tables of diners when we arrived. We started with stuffed mushrooms and mozzarella sticks. Both were pretty good. We ordered the seafood pasta and crawfish pasta. Both were good but the three of us agreed that the crawfish pasta was better than the mixed... More

We use to enjoy going here. The service leaves a lot to be desired!!!!!!!!!!! The food was poor, I hate watery soupy noodles! The shrimp were horrible it was like they opened a can of puny shrimp and poured them in with my meal,I was so upset, especially for the price they charge! I would expect much better.

Good place to eat Louisiana Seafood. The Gumbo and Shrimp Po-Boy were authentic. The price was reasonable. There are lunch and dinner menus. The Lunch service was fast. Recommended.

This is most definitely NOT a bistro. It is a sports bar with a part of it disguised as a family restaurant. There was a party in another part of the restaurant so we had to wait for almost an hour before we got our food. If we had been warned about this before we ordered, we would have left.... More

We live in Baton Rouge & when we fly on vacation we always stop in to eat at Johnnys. The are on Williams Blvd so it is close to the airport. They have a good varity on the menu, from just poboys to seafood platters to steaks. I have never had a bad meal here out of the 10 times... More
