I brought my family here, after asking around for a local recommendation. We had a wonderful meal, including delicious appetizers. I thought the cole slaw side was perfect. Service was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. When the check came, I was shocked at how reasonable it was. I have one issue, and it's not huge, but it's a detail that was... More

Our Lions club had a meeting in their separate meeting-dining area. Our. Waitresses and staff were superb. The food was served timely to all 20 of us. I can't wait to have another dinner meeting there.

When a diner arrives for a seven p.m. supper, he is often hungry. Then a personable waitress asks if the table (of four diners) would like to start with an appetizer. Hold off here at Da Wabbit. We ordered only two appetizers for four people: oysters brochette and fried onion rings. Both appetizers were very good. However, when the entrees... More

A real locals place in Gretna. Stopped by for lunch and had a Shrimp Po Boy at the bar. Excellent bread; loaded with all the toppings; almost too big to finish in one seating but I managed.....came with excellent fries; Bartender was excellent and everybody knew each other in the place. A small bar with maybe 15 seats and a... More

This is the second time I have eaten here, the food is excellent and they have remodeled. It is now much brighter inside. Many locals eat here.

My husband and I went here for lunch. He ordered the fish and shrimp. He received enough for us to share. I'm looking forward to going back.

Real good local New Orleans home cooking. Lots of locals. Seafood to beef. Fun spot. Great service. Wait staff is pretty much all locals. The establishment doesn't look that good from the outside, but those are usually the best restaurants in New Orleans. This restaurant is a cross the Mississippi River from downtown New Orleans. But is very close to... More

Was invited here for a business lunch and glad after the visit. Seems this is an institution in New Orleans food-lore.....to add to the literally hundreds of other food institutions in New Orleans. Nice bar as you walk in by the way but this was a working lunch. A few in my party of four had been here before and... More

I called around 8 pm on a Friday to see if they could handle the 4 of us and they could. The waitress was fabulous and took care of our needs promptly. We had different choices, but I was surprised to have grilled crab cakes, which were Simply Fabulous! What a great choice. Free parking is on premise and it's... More
