Lovely looking pub from the outside, conveniently close to Mottisfont House. Fairly uninspiring inside though and the food, whilst ok, isn't anything special. If you're in the area and looking for a quick drink and a bite then it's fine but I wouldn't recommend it...More

Thank you for your review. We have recently recruited a new kitchen team that will enable us to improve our menu offering and the standard of our food so I hope you will give us another go in the future.

Ordered a beefburger, which turned on a plate with a few chips. Presentation terrible and beef burger very average and paid £13 for the pleasure. Limited menu, not a pub I will be going back to in any hurry for food.

Sorry to hear of your poor experience with us. We are currently looking at the way we plate the food and making some changes along with looking at our value for money so I hope you will return to us in the future.

Had some quick drinks here as a break from walking in the heat. Good value and plenty of space outdoors so a great place. Definitely will be back, especially as it's on the walking route!

Our food was delicous. My daughter thought the pizza in the childrens menu was too small, but it was a great pizza and came with chips too and she had plenty of food. The food in the childrens menu is apparently of the same quality...More

Thank you for your review. Children's food is not usually reviewed too often so it was nice to receive some feedback. Glad the puddings were as good as the mains! We look forward to seeing you again.

We went for dinner on Father's Day and as a precaution booked online. This was quick and easy to do. The roast was excellent and the portions huge. One of our party was a vegetarian and said that the nut roast was delicious and again...More

Thanks for the feedback Pauline. As you would have seen, Father's Day was very busy for us so I'm glad we managed to keep the standards of food and service up and you enjoyed your visit.

Went for Sunday roast before our walk and a drink after the walk. Meal is quite good. Dessert very small portion. Quite a good place to stop by for a drink with many outdoor seats. Good service. Drinks were a bit too expensive…
