First time to Ambrosia and it was very similar to my favorite bakery in Birmingham. Traffic can be tedious trying to get in and out of here. There is everything from donuts, to cake to gelato. You won't leave empty handed. I got a slice of their vanilla and chocolate cake and took some of the banana nut bread home.... More

Ambrosia is primarily a bakery, but they have a little deli/cafe with seating. I was there for the pastries, specifically a Doberge cake. I ordered a large sheet of half lemon and half chocolate for a special occasion. I hadn't had Doberge in years and I had such an envie for one. I was not disappointed. It was as good... More

We were in Baton Rouge on business & wanted a king cake to take back home. I googled & found Ambrosia Bakery & it wasn't far from where we were. They didn't disappoint. That's the 1st king cake I've had that wasn't dry. They had several varieties too. We got a few pastries, cookies & a brownie. My husband loved... More

The cakes and everything else are still quite giid but they seem to have gotten to large for their own good. The service is awful and the attitude even worse. Ull be stucking with Baums or even Gambinos from now on.

Had my first visit to Ambrosia, as I have only lived in the area a couple of months. I tried the chicken salad in a puff and the strawberry cake. The chicken salad was good - a little unique with sun ripened tomatoes on top, and the strawberry cake was yummy and huge - saved half for tomorrow. My complaint... More

I cannot recall a time when I have visited a bakery quite like this one. The diversity of goods was marvelous. We had a delectable brunch (sausage, egg & cheese croissants) before we made our take-home order for the rest of the family. We came away with Bavarian cream mini-cheesecakes, turtle cheesecakes, an assortment of petit fours, enormous cinnamon rolls,... More

I ordered 2 cakes from here for 2 different parties. Both were amazing! They offer a 16x22 cookie cake for around $30. Can't beat that. Ordering online was super easy.

Tired of hotel microwave eggs, I decided to try out the place. I asked what was their signature sandwich, and the egg and bacon on croissant was recommended. A choice of grits or hash browns for a side. The croissant sandwich was nice, not too greasy. Bacon crispy but not burnt. A 5-star sandwich and the hash browns were some... More

I am so sorry to say I did not have a good experience here. The staff was rude and seemed frustrated at all the people. I got a tiramisu mousse cup...it was awful. Little taste and felt like dried rubber. The chocolate cup was the only good part. It's too bad...this bakery has great cakes but the to go treats... More
