We have been traveling to BR for years and our GO TO place had always been The Chimes because we love their boudin balls and the 1/2 off on oysters all day Tuesdays. Other menu items at Chimes was always really good too. Two years...More

Parrain's is located just about a block off of Interstate 10. The problem is that it sets back a ways off of the street and has little, if any, signs to tell you which building or entrance to use. It's the one on the left...More

It has been a while since I have gone to Parrain’s Seafood. The food is always really good and very affordable. Casual dress and very friendly wait staff.

I would recommend trying this place if you want authentic local color and seafood. The place stays really busy but the wait is usually not too long and you can hang out in the bar while you wait.

The food is good - typical of most seafood restaurants in Baton Rouge. It's a little pricey, but it has a very large local following, so that speaks volumes. If you like quiet, though, don't go at peak serving times.

Very good, the house salad dressing is very good, it is sweet. The crab / crawfish dip on the appetizer was great. I ate the ponchetrain for my main course. Server was extremely attentive. Casual atmosphere. They also serve alcoholic beverages.

Tuesday is half priced oyster day. Not sure of any specials on Sunday night, but they do have a wonderful Sunday Brunch.
