The food at Safier is always excellent. The Athenian Chicken entree is one of the best things that I have eaten at any restaurant. This is a great downtown restaurant for a wonderful casual meal.

After several days of rich food, BBQ, and Bourbon we were craving fresh vegetables. This fit the bill! Baba ganoush and hummus were excellent! Salads were overflowing. Highly recommended.

My son had been telling me about Safier....finally got to go for lunch today. It was packed with the order lline all the way out into the street (great sign right there!). The line moved much quicker than I would have imagined and our lunch came out in just a few minutes. It was a nice day so we enjoyed... More

I'm staying at the Hyatt downtown for a week of education and a coworker and I thought we'd get some Mediterranean food. Safier is just 3 or 4 blocks south. It's a bit off the beaten path, definitely not in the high rent district, but it was worth the walk. My swarma chicken was fantastic, very good flavors, a huge... More

I am staying at the Brown Hotel and wanted a small meal. I found Safire about 1 block away. It has a nice menu of Mediterranean foods. I tried the chicken Shawarmer and it was excellent (great flavor and perfectly prepared). It cost $5.50!!! They have hummus and several other common Mediterranean foods. Definitely worth going to.

On a road trip, friends and I drove through for lunch and wanted something unique but on a budget...we came here and were not disappointed! Great stop to make. Friendly staff, with unique and delicious food made right in front of you. In and out in half hour with four of us ordering and eating.

I used to work on 4th street and friends and I would walk to Safier's for lunch very often. I typically only get the chicken shawarma sandwich but my friends often tried their meals & specials. Lots of food! Excellent authentic Indian spices. Now even though I do not work downtown I will very often make a trip just for... More

I ordered a falafel sandwich. It was huge, delicious, cheap, and served fast. This was, without a doubt, the best meal I had while spending 4 days in downtown Louisville for a convention. Highly recommended.

The food I got at Safier was amazing. I came into the shop a little after 8PM after 8PM, after a long day. Having never been to Louisville, I wanted something familiar and close- Safier fit both of those criteria. I have had some amazing Mediterranean food before- both in the states and in Europe. I never expected to find... More
