Finally got around to visiting this little restaurant this week. The food is superb! My guest and I tried 3 half servings, which were enormous, and we were impressed at the quality and tastiness of these Cajun staples. Will definitely return. It isn't elegant dining, just rock-solid delicious food!!

Went here with my husband and daughter. He had shrimp etouffe' and gumbo and we had jambalaya. Both were excellent!

A hole in the wall, but they have the best food around. I love the atmosphere, however it can get pretty busy. I love all the different sauces they have and the bread that comes with your meal is to die for. I don't live in Lexington, but Bourbon n' Toulouse is always at the top of my list when... More

Five stars all the way. This is the BEST Cajun in Lexington, hands down. Way better than their competition. Will and Kevin have a philosophy about what they offer their customers, which includes buying as much ingredients locally as possible. Prepare to park on the street or walk up. There is no lot parking that they are allowed to use... More

I've been going to BnT for several years at this point, and I'm never ever disappointed. The staff is usually always pretty nice and energetic. The menu selection is excellent, and you should probably try everything eventually, but my favorite is the chicken etoufee on jambalaya, which costs a little extra, but is worth the extra kick. The black beans... More

Laid back and quick. Good black beans and andouie sausage. Good size portions. They have limited selection of beer but the Chevy Chase Inn is next door and has cheap good cocktails.

This cajun hole in the wall is not to be missed if you enjoy that kind of food. We ordered a variety of offerings including beans and rice, beans with caramelized corn and a turkey-based thanksgiving dish and every one delivered. Don't miss out on the excellent selection of hot sauces as well. We will be back! They also serve... More

Didn't think the place was particularly clean. Empty plates and garbage were on the tables. Food was average at best.

Description
In July 2004 Will Pieratt and Kevin Heathcoat took a the huge leap of faith and opened Bourbon n' Toulouse by maxing out seven credit cards and simply hoping things worked out for the best. The business plan was simple: cook some damn good food, give back to the community that help keep their lights on and have as much fun as the law allows! Ten years later these guys are still extremely passionate about what they do and they haven't grown up a bit, just ask their wives! Always cooking and laughing, these guys are serious about having fun. Stop in and sample the wide array of tasty Cajun and Creole dishes, grab a beer from the ever changing selection and drift away to their own little version of The French Quarter.

Not bad for a washed up musician and a retired elementary teacher!
