We stopped in here on an overnight stop. The hotel we stayed at recommended Miguel’s. The food was ordinary Mexican fare but our complaint is the price of bar drinks. We ordered two medium size frozen margaritas. When we got the bill we realized the...two drinks cost $10.75 for a blender strawberry margarita and $10.25 for a regular margarita. So $21.00 of our $52.00 bill was for two very ordinary blender drinks. When we questioned the cost, our server said the owner kept bar prices higher to minimize undesirable clients! What?? No worries- we won’t go back.More
We love this place! They have the most authentic and tasty Mexican food anywhere. My husband had a combo plate with enchilada and chile relleno, rice, beans etc. Loved every bite! I had 2 tacos that were great.
We tried the Mahi special with fabulous flavor and spices with a nice mixed vegetables and rice.
It has to be in my top ten ever for fish and I grew up in Florida and travel overseas alot.
Cant wait to come back and Bernadet...was exceptional.More
My family and I were treated to dinner by a friend. The parking lot was packed Friday night at 7:15, so I expected a wait
To my surprise, we were seated immediately by a smiling hostess! This place is big inside and holds a lot...of people. Of couse with that comes the bad of a lot of noise from so much conversation. Think of any cracker barrel when they're busy. Drinks arrived quickly along with good chips and tasty salsa. I ordered a shredded beef chimichanga and my wife ordered chicken enchilada and chili rellano with black beans. My dinner was $9.95 and wife's was 10.95. My chimichanga was about 6" long and 3" in diameter. It seemed small on the plate with a large amount of rice and refried beans and lettuce, tomato, sour cream and guacamole salad. But it was stuffed with good quality shredded beef. It all kind of reminded me a deconstructed Burrito Grande I used to get in California. By taking a little bit of each of the items it makes a nice bite. I was stuffed. My wife wasn't happy with her chili rellano, it had been frozen and the chili pepper kind of disengaged. (I learned last year not to order chili rellano o Kentucky). She said the enchallida, rice and beans were just ok. As we cook our own mexican food, we've got pretty high standards. Overall not bad I'd say about 3.75 out of 5.More
The good: service was prompt and courteous, the food came out as ordered- hot and good size portions.
The not so good: there were several loud and foul mouthed drunks at the bar arguing over the basket ball game. My wife wanted to linger a...little longer after we finished, but we hurried through our meal. The woman in the next booth with the two young children left quicker. Management nor the bar staff appeared to do anything to calm the raucous down.
If we'd wanted a loud unruly crowd we'd have gone to a sports bar.
If we go back, we'll most definitely ask to be seated away from the bar.More
