I don’t like to leave reviews for places I like a lot because then they might get popular but the entire place is top notch from the cooks to the server (Heather). All are amazing and I can’t wait to go back. You have to...try the deviled eggs and fried green tomato and pimento cheese sandwich. So good.More

terrible service, limp sprouts and had to wait to pay. Out of burgoo and cornbread at 5:00 on a Saturday?

Great experience for Sunday brunch. Food was great. Our waitress was super friendly. The bread pudding itself is worth the drive down there!

Stopped here as part of our Bourbon Trail adventure. Good food, rustic setting, sample platter offered some tasty options you don’t see everywhere every day. We appreciate that! Burgers and chicken sandwiches were ordered. Fries and grits were sides. All were happy with their meals....Surprisingly or maybe not, they featured an expansive offering of bourbons - even offered flights if not mistaken. Friendly, polite staff, clean environment. My guess is many people would drive by dismissing it due to its rustic presence. They’re fools. That’s part of the charm - and the food is well worth the stop!More

I have been here several times over last few years but our visit yesterday was a poor dining experience. The restaurant apparently didn’t put a delivery order in as they were out of tomato and sugar (at noon)- also, the table we sat at was...covered in flies. My friend ordered Burgoo that looked like vegetable soup with 2 pieces of chicken and our fries were ice cold. All around a bad lunch and a disappointment.More

Excellent service and food. Great stop for lunch on our way to TN. GF options too. Even a photo opportunity on the side of the main building. The “tree house” is a great place to sit too.

We were staying in the area and had heard good things about this restaurant. Sadly, the experience was poor both in service and food. We arrived on a Wednesday 15 minutes after they opened (11:15 a.m.). Only a few tables were occupied. We ordered our...drinks, which arrived promptly. We then placed our order. Wanting to start with the Burgoo, I was told that both that and other menu items were not available because "their meat guy didn't show up". The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays - so we were amazed that items were already unavailable. I then ordered the small plate of buttermilk fried chicken with fried banana peppers, and my husband ordered the hot honey chicken. Over 40 minutes later, our food finally arrived. Our drinks were long finished while waiting, and our server never stopped by our table to see if we would like refills. My chicken was fried to death - dry and chewy. They dumped so much Cajun seasoning on the entire dish, it was like eating spoonfuls of spice. It was all you tasted. Nothing distinguished the chicken from the peppers. When our server stopped by 10 minutes later to ask how our food was, I mentioned that it was completely overcooked. He looked puzzled, and said, "Sorry, I'll say something to the chef". He disappeared for another 15 minutes. I sat there with inedible food, no offer of "can I get you something else". When our server reappeared, he asked if we'd like dessert! I hadn't even had anything to eat after an hour of arriving!More

This place is awesome! It’s perfectly situated among the distilleries for a great dining option while touring the area. We recommend the seating in the Treehouse which is perched on Glenn’s Creek, an elevated deck with shade, it’s own bar and cool breezes. We went...as a couple on the first day then brought the rest of the family back two days later! Everyone loved it.More

Just happened across this restaurant. So glad we did. Great southern food. As busy as it was we didn’t have to wait long for our food.

Wow. This place is awesome. Great location on the bourbon trail. Stopped here while on a mororcycle ride with several other couples. Cool roadside eatery. Had the hot chicken and it was great. Also our group shared the game board appetizer and fritters which I’ve...never heard of but I liked. Others liked their borgou and bologna sandwhich. Good service. Cold beer. Good cocktails. I’ll def be back.More
