Never dissatisfied in our meal choices! I especially like their chunky guacamole, yummy! Better than I can make. Always great service too! Reasonable prices.

We found El Patron with the help of our hotel manager. The location is set back off the road. We found authentic Mexican food. It was fresh, hot (temperature) and delicious. The menu is enormous, with many choices. The space is bright and colorful. It...was so enjoyable we went back the next night.More

We honestly groaned when we learned of this restaurant. We didn't need another Mexican food place. Now we think the rest just need to go away!

The title says it all. Beautiful, brightly colored restaurant. The chairs, booths and tables were carved and painted in Mexico and the furnishings are artwork themselves. The house margaritas were large, tasty and CHEAP!. We had chile rellenos and cheese enchiladas "rancherita" and the food...was some of the best Mexican we have ever tasted. (And we're just finishing up a cross-country trip;we tried Mexican restaurants in Arizona and Texas, but El Patron beat them all.)More

This place deserves to be #1 in Bardstown. We came across this place on the way back from the Maker's Mark Bourbon Distillery. The portions are huge and the food is excellent. Also the prices are fantastic too. We went on a Monday so there...was 15% discount on meals. We both ordered the double Chimichanga meal. So much food which is awesome. We still would have been pleasantly full with the single order. My husband ordered the 32oz lime Margarita. He loved it! I had the Bahama Mama, so good. They give out a generous portion of yummy chips and salsa on the house with free refills. Definitely one of the best mexican places we've ever been to. The service is fantastic as well.More

First time here. Close to hotels walking distance Food was good Initial service was great, got busy and had only one server, so service itself slowed down. Good atmosphere Will return when back in area as food was good

We live nearby so we have dined here a few times. It is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Bardstown. We have never had to wait for a table and the wait staff always stays on top of refiling drinks, chips, and salsa. Everything is very...affordable too. This place beats all the other Mexican restaurants in Bardstown!More
