I have visited this restaurant many times with family, friends and colleagues and usually I am impressed with both the service and food. However, during my most recent visit, it was unwelcoming and the food minimal. Two of us went here and watched one waiter...More

Went here a couple of times on the trot when in the area. Generally good food and excellent service. Recommend the house special which had a good kick - can’t remember the name but will defintely return to be burnt again

My friend and I swung by on a very warm Thursday evening. We were swiftly shown to a choice of tables. Safe to say we elected to sit by window. Upon receipt of both the drinks and food menus we did notice that there was...More

First and last visit here. Smiling is free and makes people feel welcome - I would suggest the staff try it. Food ok - I didn’t enjoy mine - the chicken had a strange taste but my husband enjoyed his. Having finished our main course...More

We went during the week so the place was not full. The food was good and not too expensive. It's a bit of a strange set up with the restaurant at the back and the pub at the front but it seems to work.

Local village night out with old friends. Pleasant staff who were attentive and speedy. Priced reasonably especially given that it has limited competition. Locals very welcoming too. Definitely worth a visit!

We live in the neighbouring village and this was our first visit The Muntjac. (Saturday evening) The restaurant lacks atmosphere and something needs to be done about the swinging (or non-swinging!) kitchen door. We were asked if we had made a reservation (we had gone...More

We are a freehouse with an Indian restaurant situated in the rural North Bedfordshire village of Harrold. We offer a large selection of draught lagers, 6 real ales, several bottled lagers and ciders as well as a huge selection of spirits, wines and soft drinks - we have more than 60 varieties of gin and 13 different vodkas for example. In the winter months we have an open fire and all year round we show live sport on Sky, BT Sport, ITV etc. We also have a pool table. Attached to the pub we have Harrold's 'original' Indian restaurant which was established in 2008 and serves excellent Indian food, even though we say so ourselves. Everything is freshly cooked to order using quality ingredients which are locally sourced wherever possible. We also offer a takeaway and delivery service to the local area. We hope to see you soon for a drink, some wonderful food and a good time
