So, this is the place to go if you are hankering for fried catfish. I'm not a huge catfish fan, but I do love jumpin' catfish's. It's crispy and mild. They also have a nice variety of other meats (quail, other game type food, lobster, crab legs). This is not the place to go if you're a big vegetable lover,... More

If down home cooking is what you are looking for, this is the place to go. The meal starts out with slaw, white beans and the best hushpuppies and goes from there. Their catfish is outstanding, along with other seafood such as crab legs, tilapia and salmon. Some uncommon items on the menu are frogs legs, and quail. Never had... More

Talk about delicious!!! I enjoyed one of my favorites... Chicken fried steak mashed potatoes and gravy. Served home style is a bowl of Cole slaw and ham n beans along with a basket of Hush puppies. Fantastic menu offering quail and frog legs to name a couple. Friendly atmosphere, great menu selection with a wide variety. Found by accident but... More

This place is super unique and has great food. Lots of all you can eat options like catfish, crab legs, duck, front legs, quail and I am sure I am missing some. The owner is always there and always up for a conversation

Friendly staff. Food was ok. I always try different places when visiting KC. It wasn't the best, but wasn't the worst experience either.

We want there last night for supper (1-22-17) because we heard about the Sunday all you can eat menu. When we got there, we waited to be seated and once our waitress arrived she seemed rushed and like she had better things to do. The restaurant was not busy by no means and she quickly took our orders and left,... More

Not impressed from the moment we stepped in the place. We were met by the hostess after I had to go to her. She sat us fairly quick. After we were seated it took more than enough time to be waited on. I tried several times to get someone's attention to no avail. Finally our waitress came and left us... More

My wife and I have been frequent patrons of this casual but fantastic eatery for over 27 years. As a matter of fact, owner Dave Hampton catered out wedding back in 91. Much more than fresh catfish, from exotic foods to traditional, Dave offers over 27 items to pick from. My wife's favorite is the boiled all you can eat... More

Description
Our farm-raised, grain-fed catfish is far superior to his muddy river cousin. Scientifically-bred and carefully tended, he has all but acquired a pedigree now that Gourmet magazine rates him the third-best-selling fish in America.Higher in protein than most meats, our freshwater catfish is becoming exceedingly popular among health-conscious American diners-and with good reason. Not only is our catfish low in cholesterol, fat and calories, he also rates high in aesthetic appeal since he has no fishy smell. It is also nutritious, healthy and downright delicious. Now, will we see you at the Annual World Catfish Festival in Mississippi next year? Or at least back at the Jumpin' Catfish next week! We will also cater for 40-500 people just about anywhere!! We come to you and cook in our catering wagon so all the food is cooked and hot on the spot!
