I LOVE the food here. VERY reasonable prices, VERY strong libations, and fresh food EVERY TIME!!! Have not had an entree, app, dessert or cocktail I didn't LOVE. Pretty authentic, except not very spicy, which is typical of the area. Tortillas are fresh and fantastic!! Recommend to EVERYONE looking for reasonable, real, delicious Mexican food. Drink specials out on the... More

Terrific mexican food served in a hurry! Excellent flavors throughout their menu. Good selection of margaritas and mexican beers.

Food was alright. Small portions. Cheese dip was terrible. The worst part though, the ladies bathroom smelled like one of those public restrooms at camp sites. You know with the toilet that just sits over a huge hole and it always smells like a bunch of chemicals and human waste? Yeah. It smelled like that. And it was so strong... More

I went at an off time of time, but the food and beer where served promptly and the waiter was friendly. An impressive menu with a good selection of dishes that use unique ingredients. Much more depth than your typical Tex Mex joint which uses the same 5 ingredients on every dish. I was impressed with the selection. Dos XX... More

Being from Texas and now living in Northwest Arkansas we are connoisseurs of all types of South American foods. This was average but good mexican fare. I personally think it was over priced for average mexican food but that will happen. The on the rocks margaritas are wonderful and the mexican shrimp cocktail was a delight. Hubby and I both... We were camping at Milford Lake when a severe storm hit on July 6. Since we couldn't grill we drove into town looking for a place to eat and sit out the storm. When we arrived at about 4:00 p.m. the waiter/host/bus boy was the only person working the floor and was a little overwhelmed by all the customers walking... More

It was a little later than usual dinner time, and I looked around for what Junction City could offer for as close to authentic Mexican food as could be provided. I chose El Tapatio and I was pleased. I got the El Tapatio special which was about $13.00 and I was a LOT of food. The flavor was great and... More

I used to enjoy this place a good deal. Over the last few months something has gone wrong, they seem to be using canned beans now (taste like) and the food has gone far from the fresh version they used to serve, Then a new low last night our power went at our house at 5 so we had to... More

I have been to El Tapatio with family and on dates and they are always spot on. They are fast and the service is awesome. My husband loves that he can speak Spanish with everyone there

When we eat hispanic foods, we like the foods we get from El Tapatio, it is quick, good, affordable, and just delicious. Some times we just have to have their salsa and chips to take home for a nice snack. I like their taco salads and my lovely enjoys the fajitas, they are generous with their portions, a must for...
