Three Sundays in a row we've had Sunday lunch to celebrate two different birthdays with a special Mothering Sunday lunch in the middle. All three meals have been excellent with a wide choice of starters. ,main course, including some amazing specials and dessert from a glorious selection on the sweet trolley. The building is beautifully thatched, inside there is a... More

The Wagon Wheel was recommended to me by a friend and we were not disappointed. Italian owned, fab food, good beers and some greatvwines, wonderful atmosphere. The place was rammed and we were on second sitting. I had medium rare roast rib of beef, which was carved at the table. Friendly staff who were around when you needed them. 1970's... More

What a wonderful experience we had on Saturday night at this restaurant. The whole atmosphere took me back to 1970's Newcastle and Mario's Restaurant where my husband and I spent many a happy evening. The food we had was perfectly cooked and beautifully served and it was so nice to eat at a table that was elegantly dressed, even down... More

Another visit to enjoy the excellent standard of cuisine here. The same staff have been serving us for many years - surely a sign of good management. Prices have crept up, but food was a good as ever, with a wide selection of dishes and amazing choice of wines.

Arrived lunch time to find the restaurant and bar area very busy due to a meeting of Rolls Royce enthusiasts! We were directed to the quiet side bar and shown the lunchtime menu chalked on the board ( 20 plus choices ). Giuseppe recommended the veal, this would not be my normal choice as I am not very adventurous but... More

If you want modern, stylish, sophisticated food then this isn't the place for you. If you want a Sunday lunch with service and settings that might've felt a tad out of date in 1979 then you should be ok. The interesting thing is that it's all the better for it. Price wise it works out a fiver more than a... More

This is a traditional old fashioned Restaurant set in it's own time zone, as indeed are some of the staff, but we always enjoy the high quality food that we eat. The owner Giuseppe & Julie go out of their way to understand a difficult diet that my wife requires. This restaurant has never failed to meet expectations with it's... More

I have been visiting this superb establishment for for pretty well 30 years and every time without exception quality has always been delivered. Steaks and prawns are of the highest calibre especially the tournedo rossini. Its rare that you can take a large group and see everyone marvel at the menu range and quality, but they do here, time and... More

Visited for Sunday lunch( must book) for first time at this cosy well run country pub. Staff warmly welcomed us and showed us to our table after a short wait in the bar. Food choice was amazing, served in good time, no rush, and excellent quality.Wil certainly visit again.
