I know the Nevill Crest and Gun very well worked and lived there back in the 80s. So always had a connection and in the past few years it has been a lot better and the food improved. I don't know what happened last Saturday husband and I where coming back from Trip on Flying Scotsman and thought on route... More

Went to this pub a couple of nights ago and had a very pleasant meal. The food is good rather than outstanding but fairly good value. We had good service and overall were happy with our evening in an attractive old pub.

I went here for lunch with a friend, we had a lovely table in the conservatory looking out at the gardens. Food was excellent and service was good although we felt they needed an extra waiter/ess as it was a little slow. Price was reasonable, we had pre dinner drink, starter, main and tea which cost £24 each. All in... More

We went there this evening. It was awful. Went to the bar, felt invisible. We waited until the waitress had finished her private conversation. Asked for a seat which she found us. After 20 minutes still not served. When she saw us leaving she said she would get around to us shortly!

Nice location, large pub which is more a restaurant than a local. Low traditional oak beams and open fires. Can accommodate some large groups and has some lovely outside areas. I have been many times over the years and always welcoming, good rather than excellent food, nice friendly service. I went last night and not overly busy and food again... More

Over all I was underwhelmed by the experience. The service was pleasant but very slow. The building was cold and the food was nothing special. I had the lamb shoulder which was very fatty and my partner's fish and chips were greasy. For what we ate I think it was over priced.

A return visit to this delightful pub restaurant in Eridge. As always warmly welcomed and served with a smile. Warm homely atmosphere, great service and wonderful food.

Having been to others in the same chain this one lived up to expectation. Very pleasant attentive staff. A very good range of local brews available on hand pump. We only had main course and puddings but found them to be cooked and presented veey well. Belly pork for one, hake for the other. Chocolate and nut tart. Well done.

We arrived around 3pm on a Sunday. Understandably the place was past the main rush of the day but does serve food until 9pm We ordered roast port and a lamb shank. The dishes arrived incredibly quickly. The roast pork dish comprised 2 very small dried up slices of tasteless meat The lamb shank had also obviously been sitting around... More

We ate here for Sunday lunch with a party of 22 on Sunday a busy day of the week celebrating a lovely lady's 100th Birthday. The staff and Claudette the manager were very efficient, friendly and helpful. We were accommodated in the delightful conservatory and there was plenty of room for the 7 grandchildren to play. The atmosphere was relaxed... More
