your everyday mid-size mid west diner? Not really! It is in the heart of downtown Waterloo steps away from the Cedar River and, before I forget there is free parking next to the building so no need to feed the meter. Good old hometown food in a diner atmosphere at low costs....you simply have to order the 16 oz. breaded... More

Newton's is one of Waterloo's best downtown restaurants! Breakfast tastes great and decent price! Also, had their pork Tenderloin and it's enough for two people scrumptious! Signature drinks, jellies and sauces, Newton's is a place where you will leave and talk about the next visit!

The best fried tenderloin I've ever had. They were out of their carrot cake and something else my wife wanted. However, I have this weird feeling the owner is ready to pack it in. It's the feeling I get when I see dirty floors, rogue staff, and rapper wanna bes floating around. Broken front doors, and too much waste is... More

Delicious food, unique menu, and friendly atmosphere! We had 2 babies and 3 young girls, and they did all they could to accommodate our large group with 5 more adults. The service was fast in spite of our large group. The Parmesan fries are tasty, and the breakfast menu is complete with a separate special healthy eating menu. The steel... More

This cafe in a remodeled jewelry store at a downtown intersection is a local favorite. Servings are huge! Service is pleasant and efficient. I had an excellent made-to-order omelet with my choice of at least a dozen filling options; all come with cheese, choice of potato and toast. A good place for a morning business breakfast!

They were super busy when we arrived so we had to wait 20 min and then again for our food. And our 1st order of french fries cooler than we liked so the waitress brought us out a fresh HOT order. Seriously, they have one of the best tenderloins we've ever tasted not to mention its size which easily provides... More
