Went to this location twice, first time the Hostesses were just plain rude, the kitchen was out of shrimp, chicken, and cheese (???) but the server was amazing and the steaks were, as always, incredible. The second time was a much better experience, different and polite hostesses, kitchen was stocked, server was great, and the bone in ribeye was again... More

It is very reasonable for a family of six, more so than the Outback. Food is good and portions are reasonable. The place is always busy and I understand that it is noisy, however, the line dancing is almost unbearable, and the birthday screaming is just as bad. In an already busy place, these activities just detract from the experience... More

Tried to pass off old re-heated French fries with my meal, never gave us any buns, and couldn't be bothered to address my concerns! When I ended up filing a report with the BBB, they lied and said that they had talked with me on the phone and I couldn't be satisfied! They never talked to me!

I don't know what you should expect from a place called "Texas Road House" in IOWA. It's pretty overdone, trying to be something that it really cannot be. The decor was just-- I don't know-- kitschy; cobbled together by somebody that wasn't from Texas, and laid over what really could have been a nice sit-down restaurant. That said, the service... We had no wait, so that was good. We went with working friends. They tried to sit us (5 grown men, two kids, myself) at a booth. Thankfully we got moved to a table near the bar. Waitresses were nice. Service was prompt. Food was delicious as usual! We were served pretty fast. Overall, I would recommend to others!

Called ahead. Always a good idea. Also helps avoid undesirable seating. For me that includes tall bar tables and those tiny little tables. The waiter was friendly and timing of food delivery was perfect. Appetizer of tater skins was good, quite a bit of food. Could be adequate for 3 to 4 people. Pulled pork dinner was very moist and... Very good food, and enjoyed watching the staff dance. The wait is worth it. I had the prime rib, and also the flower blossom. The rolls and butter also very good.

Thank Justin B
