Bombfire Pizza is the epitome of not judging a book by its cover. Having driven through Sabula during the summer, we knew Bombfire Pizza was here so we decided to take a drive and eat there for dinner. The outside will never be confused for a 5-Star Restaurant and the inside is quirky and eclectic but the pizza is very... More

What a fun place to leave your troubles at the door. Come on in and look at the the walls. And the ceiling. And listen to the guy playing his guitar and singing old tunes you know the words to but don't hear very often. He was pretty darn good! And if you're snooty and pretentious, go somewhere else. If... Shared a gluten free portobello pizza. If you can find gluten free, it usually tastes like cardboard. Not here. It was delicious with fresh ingredients. The outside gives a little hint to the inside decor. It helped us relive a fun era in our lives. There are so many items to see on the walls and ceiling. The menu is... More

I was visiting family.in illinois and we decided to try this place out, based on other family members experiences. We are glad we did! From looking at the outside you may be deterred to step inside but GO INSIDE you won't regret it!!! We had the 14" half gobbledygook and half portabella. AMAZING!!!! Then for dessert we had the smores... More

We met family here and had another great meal. The stuffed mushrooms were very good. We have also had the "favorite dick" pizza a couple of times and it was great. We were there on a Sunday at 5 and it was not as bust as the Friday or Saturday nights.

This a one of a kind pizza joint in Iowa. The place is decorated with anything and everything you could imagine. There's a fire in the middle to keep the place warm. A black lab wonders around. Good selection of beer and wine. The pizzas are great and they are not your normal cheese, pepperoni, and sausage.

We were a little apprehensive at first as it looked like it would be filled with young partiers but that wasn't the case. Decor is very eclectic and everywhere there is something new to see. The live music was great. Service was a little slow but not enough to complain about. The servers were all very friendly. The food was fantastic!... More

We loved it. First the décor is all right out of the 60's with album covers lining the ceiling. Album cover menus, a flower child server. The main attraction was the crispy wood fired pizza. Best sausage ever on a pizza, fresh ingredients. Jalapeños appetizer was amazing with bacon and melted cheese. Beers on tap. Town is small Midwestern Iowa... More

Wrote a positive review when I went in July, but I sent a good friend in August. She paid by credit card and when asked, said she did not need a receipt. She left an $8.50 tip but when it came back on her credit card history, the tip had been changed from $8.50 to $85.00. She called and was... More
