If you find yourself in Muscatine at dinner time look up Salvatore’s in old downtown Muscatine. The downtown has some nice buildings, worth the drive through. Salvatore ‘s food is great. The 80 year old founder makes the dough for the pizza. All the menu...More

Salvatore's offers pasta, pizza, and of course Tiramisu, but their Poor-boy sandwich is amazing! We have business lunches with a few to a few dozen attendees at Salvatore's. The staff always works with us to create a special occasion. Salvatore's carry-out is always good, but...More

Highly recommend the chicken and spinach ravioli, the bruschetta, and the homemade Italian dressing on the salad. A nice wine selection, pleasant atmosphere, great service, and reasonable prices!

The pizza at Salvatore's is very good. I love the thin crust and the garlic cheese bread. I have had better pizza and Italian food. This is pretty good, but missing something. Wait staff has always great.More

Michael, thanks for discovering us and being our customer. Our humble origins are what sets us aside. We worry about treating our guests as best we can. We do make mistakes...but we try to make it right. Hope to see you soon.... and say hello.

Description
Salvatore's "trattoria" has been a staple in the downtown Muscatine area since 1985, when Reno Vitale moved here from Palermo, Sicily, the original home of pizza and pasta. In Italy, the word "trattoria" means a small, informal restaurant, often off the beaten path on a small block or street. Here at Salvatore's, we try to capture the mood, flavor and taste of the famous Italian trattorias. Come into our locally owned and operated restaurant tonight for a taste of real Italian flavor right here in Iowa.
