Not sure who does the hiring here, but their position should be in jeopardy. My friend and I stopped in for a celebratory beer following a football game, and waited patiently at the bar while drinks were being served to everyone around us. We were not drunk and not obnoxious and are not even remotely like that, so it was... More

What a lively fun place to meet friends in downtown Iowa City and have a great lunch or dinner and a beer or surprisingly good craft cocktail. I would try one of the mule's and definitely a burger or sandwich. Good beer selection and lively crowd. Worth a try while visiting University of Iowa.

We stopped here on our way to Des Moines. It was early afternoon on a Friday and it was empty. Service was good. They had some great local beer choices. We had the muffaletta. It was very good but small. Others had the baked potatoes with toppings. Very casual pub décor.

We tried to celebrate a family birthday on a holiday. The soup bowl was stale and the filling was ice cold and looked days old. The server did not get the orders correct and we had to return three entrees. I asked the cooks what happened -- and got blank stares and no explanation. No one offered to reduce the... More

This was our first time here. It was good bar food. We had the Reuben and they were both very good for the price. Good locals hangout for college kids. Not the cleanest place to eat.

The sandwiches at Quinton's are great and the baked potatoes are gigantic! They also have a terrific Moscow mule selection. It is small and a little cramped, and service can leave a little something to be desired, but the food is affordable and a nice break from burgers and bar food.

I ate here with a group of friends and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. I had a Reuben, and fell in love!!! The wait staff were attentive, but not overbearing.

I've been here a few times over the years. The first time, it was great and each time since, it has gone downhill. I won't be back again. The service is poor and the fries are soggy. If you order chips as a "side" they come in a bag instead of being house made, the sandwiches used to be good... More
