A narrow but long coffee shop in the heart of downtown Decorah! Great selection of coffee type beverages- great service- also some great home made type foods for breakfast and lunch. (small outside tables available as well, weather permitting)

Kayak trip was rained out and we decided to stop in for breakfast. The half plate of biscuits and sausage gravy was calling my name. Very tasty little meal and had a Mocha coffee. Took a bit of time to get the mocha with them not being very busy at all. Lots of people showed up right after we did... More

Our Coffee and Tea was good but my Coffee was like $1.50 for a refill. It was just a house blend - nothing fancy. Our biscuits and gravy were just so so. Not saying it was bad at all - just not our favorite in town. We would go there again.

As an avid expresso enthusiasts I love the small shops. They have so much character & typically know more about coffee then the large chain. This shop does all of that. Although I am not a fan of the fad of white coffee the drinks were fantastic. If I'm ever here again I plan to get a panini.

Based on reviews, we decided this is where we would have lunch when we got into town. We were running late, and got here almost exactly at noon. We expected it to be too crowded, but it was just right. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere very relaxing and pretty. My husband had to be in Calmar for a... More

I finally had a chance to stop into this quaint coffee shop While visiting family in Decorah. I only had green tea this time because of timing but next time I will definitely come for lunch. Their menu looked amazing and intriguing. I always appreciate a menu that just isn't the same old same old but rather offer some creativity... More

The new Magpie in the old bakery building is pretty and busy all day, or at least the times I've been in lately. The ceiling is tin and there are many booths and stools; the back room is large and accommodates groups of coffee drinkers and eaters. I had the breakfast, which was substantial--big slices of toasts, a scrambled egg,... More
