The buffet was fine, however, we really enjoyed seeing this "home" and the finer life it represented in its time.

You are dining in a very historic setting. The service was very good. The food was only average. Tour of the very ornate home is allowed free of charge.

What an exceptional mansion in South Bend! What an exceptional venue for lunch/brunch or any meal or event. The history of this place is outstanding, and well documented throughout the self-guided tour with pictures and information at every turn. A rare treat. You don't want...More

Met friends for lunch, disappointed in the food. There was 4 of us, three had the French Onion soup, no one cared for it, much too strong, not a natural flavor, not many onions, mostly broth. The au jus for the French dip sandwich was...More

Be sure to read the history brochure before eating. It's a road map about watch room that you can tour after dinner. The lobstercakes were excellent as well as Brie appetizer. We shared pork chops and prime rib. The pork chop was prepared with carmelized...More

We have seen Tippecanoe from the time it belonged to school city. We have eaten there through many chefs, but not in the past three years. The food was average. Ambiance means a great deal to me, I love opulent decadence but it was not...More

We loved walking through the old mansion and it made the luncheon much more acceptable. The menu for the buffet was pretty typical and not the best we've experienced. There were an adequate number of choices and variety was good, but quality could have been...More

Disgraceful. After waiting an hour and a half four our dinner, which never arrived, we were informed our order was lost by the kitchen. I made reservations for our wedding anniversary and my wife cried all the way home. I have been to this restaurant...More

A 30 footer is going to be tough. Just getting up the drive may be a challenge. You may be able to find a spot on a side street, and walk. Call the restaurant, they may have some ideas.

I thought the second floor was most intriguing blend. Regardless of where you are seated, go walk about and explore.
