Very sad to report-the Rock Run has burned and is permanently closed. Check local news sources for details of this loss to the community.

This is a unique stop in the backroads of Parke County, Indiana. The food is always great and the atmosphere is very rustic. Right across the road is an operational red covered bridge. The birthplace of the late, great Mordecai "Three Fingers" Brown. Famous Cubs pitcher who is in the baseball Hall of Fame. You will love your visit and... More

I thought the food was just okay and prices were okay but not exceptional. However, it is a really cool place to eat - worth the short trip there from where we were at during the Covered Bridge Festival

My husband and I recently stopped at the cafe while on the Covered Bridge route. We only ordered coffee and hot tea, splitting a pumpkin scone. The service was great. The scone was delicious. Despite some of the less than stellar posted reviews, we will definitely give it a try for lunch or dinner when back in the area.

Off the beaten path, but worth the trip. Large parking lot(s). Variety of food items offered. They make brick oven pizza. We had the "freeloader". It was very good. The cheesy bread is excellent. It is basically like a plain cheese pizza made in a brick oven. They had several new help that night, so service was a little slow.... More

Well water, so all drinks were with a taste of sulfur. Cold potatoes, green beans, and soup. 3 out of 10 orders incorrect, and one soup was nothing but beef broth. Green peppers were slimy and gross. Came for covered bridge festival will not be returning. Horrible service. Waitress served kids desserts didnt even ask rest of the table if... More

Stopped here while on a drive with my two teen daughters. We wanted a low-key way to spend a free day and decided taking the top down and going from bridge to bridge would be fun. When it was time to stop, we targeted Rock Run. The girls got a kick out of how a place with so much personality... More

We were told this place was a neat place to stop on the Covered Bridge Red Route, so we did. Service was prompt and friendly, we could sit where we wanted. The menu was a large sheet of paper, front and back. I had a 1/3 lb cheeseburger and hubby had a Roast Beef Manhattan. My cheeseburger was obviously made... More

Our food has generally been good. Our service has been less than stellar. We love the atmosphere of the restaurant.
