We went around noon and thought we would try it for lunch. My burger was very tasty, and the potato wedges were crisp. The place was pretty empty and I appreciated a nice quiet place to eat for once, no overpowering music to TV. As expected the fare was slim for my vegetarian wife, but no complaints about her grilled... More

Wife and I were headed to Belterra Casino from Indianapolis on a Friday night and wanted something to eat since we were about halfway through our trip. My wife noticed Bonaparte's Retreat so we pulled in. There's always concern when trying a "mom and pop" establishment but we were very happy with our choice. Ron was our server and was... More

My husband, Father-in-Law and I visited this restaurant last Tuesday for lunch. We really liked the rustic atmosphere, and the entire restaurant was very clean,as were the restrooms. The staff was all very cordial, and the food was fabulous! Our server, Donna, made suggestions with the menu and answered all of our questions, and took excellent care of us. I... More

The beer is cold & the sandwiches are average. It is a local watering hole & everyone is nice. It is called a restaurant but in all actuality........it is just a hangout bar.

Was there on a Friday evening and it is a local bar. We ordered and our food seemed to take forever. When it arrived it was good, but not great. We arrived before the crowds at approx. 5pm. Service was good not great and it seemed that our food may have been sitting awhile before being served. Would I go... More

This is our second time to Bonaparte's. We were here last year for the first time and it was awesome. Today didn't let us down. Another fine meal with great service.

We've always drove by this restaurant but never stopped, but today we did. Excellent decision. The restaurant is in a small town. The outside is very inviting and rustic. Inside is cozy. It has a bar area as well as restaurant seating. We had awesome service, not wanting for anything. The chicken dinner was delicious. The slaw that they serve... More

This little place is a great find that I would not have found without signing up for a ghost hunt with the Paranormal 911 group that does tours of this place and Central House in Napoleon. We arrived early and ate dinner there. Bonaparte's has a wonderful selection to choose from on their menu from soup to steaks and prime... More

I've been here several times with a ghost hunting group called Paranormal 911 from Indianapolis. This is our 'meet up' spot and we grab a bite to eat before our ghost investigations. The basement in Bonepartes is part of the underground railroad, lots of history in this small, friendly town. The staff is so friendly and the food is awesome!... More
