We actually visites twice over two weeks time. We haven't been to Joe's for literally years, partially because we live 1 hr away, but other reasons too. We have been missing out! Very family friendly. Our 3 year old triplets loved it, as well as our teenagera and our parents! Great service and food.

I go to Joe's Crab Shack for Dungeness crab in the shell. It's a West Coast crab that is difficult to find in landlocked Indianapolis. The crabs are usually cooked nicely, and although it's somewhat expensive, it's still an affordable treat and worth it to us. Just saying, though, it's expensive, so if you want fried shrimp, go to Red... More

We had dinner at Joe's tonight after being away for some time. My wife had fish and chips with a soft drink. I had a crab cake sandwich and a small beer. We split a piece of Key Lime pie. Everything tasted good. The price was $45 which I thought was about $10 too high.

If you tip for service, this is not the place. After I was seated, my waitress came by for my drink order. 10 minutes later, she brought my drink and took my food order. Once I got my food (15 minutes later), it was lukewarm at best. She brought me a second drink and then disappeared for the next 20... More

This was my first visit to a Joe's Crab Shack. We went during lunch time on a Friday and it was not busy at all. Our waiter told us that they had been very busy for lunch and dinner the previous day due to a convention that was in town. The lunch menu was not as extensive as the dinner... More

I visited there with my wife recently. The condition of the menus should have need a leading indicator they have need handled by thousands and very tattered. The food is average at best and that is generous. Maybe if you go you can sit on the deck overlooking the lake, have an appetizer then go someone where else for a... More

Been here several times. Hope I don't gave to go again. I don't like fried food with no flavor. Last night we went and called ahead to let them know we would be right over with 7 adults and 2 kids. It took 2 minutes for us to arrive. We waited for a table for over 30 minutes when we... More

I love Joe's Crab Shack and look for it where ever I travel. Prices have gone up because they don't tip. Which is fine. However, service has gone down...a lot. The restaurant was not busy and you need to look for the wait help. I prefer to tip for good service. The menu also has less item to choose from.... More

My family and I visited Joe's crab shack and it was fantastic. There was a variety of meals to choose from and the view was breath taking. I ordered the rice with lobster sauce and it was very delicious! I will definitely go back the next time I come to Indiana.

Seafood in big portions without being pricey. Easy atmosphere and good service. The drinks are good too.
