We checked out Prime 47 late Friday night. We ordered the Filet, Ribeye, and various sides. The food was all excellent and the service was great. Fair warning, they cook their steaks on the rare side. We were really won over by the beautiful dining...More

My Filet Oscar was excellent - perfect cut with tasty hollandaise and plentiful crab. With great Brussels Sprouts side and a nice IPA draft, well worth $85 with tip. The "but" is for atmosphere. Regular (?) clientele can be boisterous; and, with all the stone...More

Beautiful building, excellent food, service was top notch. Great choices and helpful waiters to explain the menu. A very enjoyable experience. However, this is not cheap eats, bring your wallet for this place, but it nice to splurge occasionally.

A great steakhouse with knowledgeable and attentive staff. Great wine list. Portions are big so unless you're ordering the filet, you might want to share. Sides are a la carte. High ceilings, beautiful architecture but very loud and sometimes hard to have a conversation. Check...More

Dined here with 9 people. We were put in the "other" room away from the piano player. Our room was filled with high school prom guests. We were celebrating a college graduation. Service (with Adam) was HORRIFIC. Wine and drinks came AFTER appetizers. Sides were...More

Great steak menu plus the fish entrees looked fantastic. But we all ordered steaks, since we were at a steak restaurant. Sean was our service and Kelly was his assistant and they both gave us excellent service. Our only complaint was the wine list. 4...More

Went before the Symphony for dinner. I ordered the rack of Wild Boar for dinner. Oh my what a presentation, it was a huge portion and literally fell off the bone. What a tasty treat!

The Delmonico rib eye steak was quite possibly the best steak I've ever eaten; and I'm not a young person. Many of the people in our group commented that steaks were "five times better than St. Elmos. Service was great. The only thing cost them...More

When we were there in November for dinner, dress code for most people was Friday casual. Some men wore suits or jackets with ties. Enjoy your dinner!

Description
Prime 47...Indy's Steakhouse is Indianapolis's only locally owned & operated Prime Steakhouse. In addition to our wonderful steaks we offer a variety a fresh seafood and an extensive wine list. What really sets Prime 47 apart from other Indy steakhouses is our staff. Our servers work in teams of two to ensure that every guests has the Prime Experience. Set in the Majestic Building, Prime 47...Indy's Steakhouse is a site to behold. Built in 1895 for the Indiana Gas Company, this unique building has a lot to offer. From its original tile floors, marble columns and 18-foot windows to view Pennsylvania and Maryland Streets, the atmosphere starts from the ground up. Prime 47 is one of the few downtown Indianapolis steakhouses that features live music nightly.
