Traveling to Indianapolis for a memorial service and to meet our grand daughter we reached out to the family for a place to dine after the service. Our daughter's response was to have a meal brought in. Between her and I there are several food sensitivities and there needed to be changes to the preparation. Now why I loved it.... More

It was such a great experience for a nice evening trying the Indiana iconic pie! Stop by and have a nice coffee with real cream and a slice of pie it is excelleent! Wait for a sunny day because tables are outside.

Stopped here while walking along 54th street and shopping. It was a warm summer afternoon and we sat outside at one of their lovely outdoor tables and we were served pie. Their sugar cream pie is the best I have ever had. It comes out warm, the crust melts in your mouth and the filling is very smooth, sweet and... More

This place is a gem! Local and specialty items abound! Don't miss the sugar cream pie. It melts in your mouth. And the grilled salmon on greens with the citrus dressing with pink peppercorns is a must! Ron's hospitality is a Hoosier thing and is located right next to the monon. It's a fun date place or a cozy spot... More

Be sure to peek in the coolers...treat yourself to an unusual soda and discover the more delicate offerings: berries, morels, imported butters, local eggs. For dinner, the salmon is divine, finish with pie. The reggae is constant, soothing and happy making. Would have 5 stars if BYOB permitted.

The type of place that national food magazines write about. Ron the owner has an amazing sense of style. It's a farmers market combined with a gourmet shop. The food served is Four Seasons quality on more expensive French plates. Salmon salad $13 w interesting mixed greens,8oz portion of crispy salmon. The olive oil and various vinegars used for the... LGG is always hip and cool and they serve up some great salmon and open faced smoked bbq. We usually get it to go since we live nearby. It is a very casual place with many locals jabbering and Monon trail users stopping by for a break. One well kept secret is their coffee. Nothing fancy. Hot black coffee -... More

My wife and I visited Locally Grown Gardens in July 2015 when we were back in Indiana visiting family. We had the chicken and also bought a peach and apple pie to enjoy with family. The chicken was great quality and the price very reasonable. I think the quality of food at this small restaurant stacks up very well against... More

This is a highly specialized place to shop for unique cooking ingredients (imported aged balsamic vinegars and olive oils, fig preserves, bourbon infused vanilla, etc,) and fresh produce. On my most recent trip they still had fresh peaches that were very juicy and flavorful. But I have to confess one of my weaknesses at Locally Grown Gardens are the fresh... More

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Can I say it again? I LOVE this place! I see some people's reviews on the prices and I do agree. There is more of an investment, but it's worth it! (and I'm a cheapo) These are the reason's it's worth it. The produce is always delicious and fresh (have you had their peaches?!!!)... More
