Good place for lunch. Really liked the the BBQ pork sandwich and the cajon coleslaw was excellent. Pretty small though. So get there early

This is a hole in the wall type place but the food absolutely makes it worth the stop. They will run out of ribs and beef, and even the baked beans, early, but the pulled pork is terrific and the potato salad and Cajun slaw are fine accompaniments. The Boss Hog is a huge amount of pork so the Piglet... More

Get the brisket, you won't be disappointed. A sandwich has enough meat to make two. I've never had them but the nachos look awesome.

The owner recognized it was our first time there and offered us samples of several items from the menu. The chicken breast was the most tender chicken I have had in a long time. It was delicious. The BBQ flavors were a nice combination. My wife and I went for lunch and couldn't finish the entrees and generous sides. The... More

One of my family's absolute favorite local places to eat at and to get takeout from. Their smoked pork and ribs are AMAZING! The ONLY downside is that they close down for the winter.

I first stopped at this restaurant back in 1954. No, it wasn't Hickory Hills Barbecue then. It was a little roadside drive-in diner called The Curly Dog, and their signature dish was an esoteric foot-long hot dog that you'd have to see to believe. My home was south, and my college was north, so I often stopped at the Curly... More

I got the little clucker, which is a smoked chicken sandwich with the chicken cut in big chucks That is HUGE so not sure how it got its name but it's the best & the best baked beans I've ever had. The hubby got the... More

I've been going to Hickory Hills for years and my plate of choice was the Boss Hogg. It's a huge sandwich of deliciously barbecued pulled pork. Last time I went, I get the Piglet and it was huge as well, even though it's cheaper than the Boss Hogg. I also had a cup of gumbo, but they gave me a... More
